I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to make that cardinal girl, so I read up on birds and put together some reference material for myself.

I’m the sort of person who needs to see things to understand them and forgets things that aren’t in my direct line of sight, so I like to make notes and ref sheets like this to figure everything out. Maybe they can be helpful to others, too.

I’m gonna take a moment to talk about how endlessly grateful I am for my patrons today, because it’s #thankyoupatronsday! The last in the series of drawings where I travel through my art! This one is based on Erawan Falls in Thailand, a place I hope to visit someday. It looks so peaceful and serene! Forest rivers are so magical, I don’t have many of them around where I live so I’m always amazed when I see one in the wild.
