"What?" She playfully slapped his arm. "I told you to plan it out after last time! Remember? I was freezing!"

She clung to his arm as they walked. "Well, it's still alright, I guess. So, if we're not walking there, how are we going to get there?"

“Anywhere, huh? What if I told you I haven’t really planned this out yet?” He grinned nervously, though he would tug her towards the school gates with confidence. “I have an idea of where to go, but it’s pretty far from here. It’s not a place where we can just walk to either.”

She blushed when he held her hand and and shook her head. "No, not really.. Anywhere is fine if... Well, anywhere is fine!" She laughed nervously, glad that she caught herself before she said 'as long as it's with you.'

He shyly hugged her back, letting out his usual laugh. “Y-yeah, I got here the second I texted you actually.” He smiled, wasting no time to break the hug and interlocking his fingers with hers. “So, anywhere in particular you’d like to go?”

Kylie smiled when her phone finally vibrated. She texted him as she walked out the door. "Wow, already? I'll be there soon!" She had been getting ready for most of the morning, and was simply waiting for him to text her all day. She tried to calm herself before she saw him, but she was just too excited.

"Fire! There you are!" She greeted him with a big hug.

SO IT WAS FINALLY SUNDAY… meaning his date was today.

Fire grin as he flipped open his phone, fingers eager to send another text to Kylie: “let me know when youre ready, im by the fountain as always!!”

[Kylie got excited, and was practically bouncing.] Ahhh really? I think I've seen him around school... He's pretty cute!

[She bursts out into giggles seeing Kylie in this state.] Haha! He sure sounds dreamy!

Ah, um… um. [Maylene surprised herself by blushing for the second time today. Wow, she was not usually this girly. She quickly checked around to see if anyone was within earshot.] … Barry, ahah. He’s in my grade…

Mhm, that's the one! [She sighed happily.] Yeah, he's wonderful..

So, what about you? Who're you going on a date with?

Definitely. I’ll take care of the movie then— I’m sure Barry will have a copy or somethin’.

—!!! [She lowered her voice accordingly.] The senior representative? Ohhh! I hear he’s really cool. Okay. I won’t tell. I think it’s nice that you’re keeping it secret, since most people are so obvious, y’know?

Perfect! Ahh, we'll have so much fun. I guess we should make sure Bianca is free as well!

Oh... Hehe, well promise not to tell okay? I don't know if he wants me telling anyone.. [She leaned close to Maylene and whispered,] Fire.

So, what about you?

[She blinks and nods awkwardly, unaccustomed to getting things so easily.] Yeah… Okay! That’s great! Hehe, and of course we can move it to Saturday, if you’re free. I have Martial Arts practice in the morning, but any other time is good.

A-aaww, you’re blushing!!! Will you tell me who you’re going with? I hope you have lots of fun! I… I guess I sort of have one too… [Cough.]

Oh, I can pay for the food. Daddy gave me plenty of money!

Hmm, if we do it this weekend, could we not do it on Sunday? I've... got a date! [She blushed.]

Sounds like a plan, Kylie. Let’s make time over the weekend, hehe.

Oh… Wait. I can’t drive yet… Maybe I’ll check the Cooking Club for snacks. I’ll just pay them back later!

Ohh, I haven't seen it either! And Bianca's going to be in the play, so it'd be perfect preperation for her!

Huh? I didn't know she was stressed out.. I hope we can help her feel better!

[Fist-pumps the air and jumps around a bit.] Oh yeah! That sounds! Awesome! [She leans in and drops her voice.] We should try and cheer Bianca up, anyhow, ‘cus she’s been so stressed out lately…

Ah!!! I could get the snacks, heh. Well— are there any movies you wanna watch? I haven’t seen Grease yet and apparently it’s a must.

Well the dorm isn't too bad. We could watch a movie! Ohh and have popcorn!

Wha? Really? You’re one of the nicest people I’ve met so far, though, no kidding. No fear!!! I’m new here too, so we can stick together!

Hm… I can’t really think of any places nearby where we could go. I guess we can just hang out at the dorm… or something…

Mhm, I'm pretty much settled in already. But it'd be lovely to go out and do something with you guys! I haven't.. really got many friends here yet.

"Hmm.." She closed her eyes and sighed happily. She took her time to answer so that she could enjoy the feeling of his arms around her, and the warmth she felt when she was hugging him, and his scent every time she inhaled. "Yes, that'd be perfect. We can meet by the fountain again."

“H-hey, you have to admit it was pretty creative…!” He rubbed her back softly and looked away in slight embarrassment, letting the past few minutes sink in for a bit. “But don’t worry, I will. How does next Sunday sound? I doubt we’ll have fun with classes in the way.”

[Just back from practice, Maylene wiped the sweat from her palms onto her track pants. She offered one hand to Kylie with a grin.] I hear you're one of my new roommates! Kylie, right?

[Kylie returned the smile and reluctantly shook Maylene's hand. As soon as she let go, she wiped her hand off on her skirt.] Mhm, that's me! And I've already met Bianca, so you must be Maylene!

Her grin grew wider and she went up on the balls of her feet to kiss his cheek. "I'd love to go out on a date with you, Fire."

She wrapped both arms around his neck and snuggled closer to him. "But you better plan it better than this, because it's freezing up here!"

“Yes, really.” His smile was calmer now, a hint of seriousness dripping from his words. “I am seriously asking you out. And er, I don’t mean ‘going out to do some homework’ either. I mean like an actual date.”

When they stopped dancing, her arm that was holding his hand fell to her side, and her fingers intertwined with his. Her other arm wrapped around his neck, and she simply enjoyed how strong and safe he felt. "Oh, I'm plenty charming." She whispered with a smirk. "I'm more surprised that you're so charming."

Her breath caught in her chest, and she giggled nervously. "A-asking me out? Really?"

She followed his lead, no matter how shaky and nervous it was. Truth be told, she was nervous too, but she was just better at hiding it.

He had to clear his throat before speaking again, his feet growing restless in anticipation. “I… should be the one asking you that, hah.”
