Cotc hot take

So ive been watching loads of cotc lately and I realized how bad of a friend Craig is. Today's daily episodes came on. It was the Jason sleep over episode and Jessica of the creek. So basically that lead me to think that Craig isn't really all that and a bag of chips that he plays himself out to be.

Tbf he DID save the creek and did help Raj and Shawn. But like that's one out of the entire season/series yea know ??

So here's a list on why I think craig is a bad friend

He was insanely mean to Jason for no reason. Yes, they do have their faults because Jason is "trying" to help. But Craig is just so mean for no reason.

Beach trip. That entire episode he was just being a brat because his dad was trying to be involved and having fun with the kids.

The Christmas episode where Maya sneaks on the other side of the creek. I do agree that craig shouldve at least texted his friends that he was going to stay inside. Then proceeded to act like he did nothing wrong.

Jessica of the creek. When craig is trying to make up a plan for some type of catapult. It falls on jp and he goes "AH MAN WE NEED A NEW TREE" like come on. At least give him some sympathy. PLEASE.

INVADING SPACE. I get that he wants to talk to Kenneth about the heart of the forest but your coming to the ENIMIES house and expect absolutely nothing to happen ?? Come on

Not giving a care int he world about his friends interest. It is shown many times throughout the show where he has shown strong feelings about what his friends like and don't like. World doesn't revolve around you.

Think im going to leave this here. Ive never been a craig fan. But he has done some cool stuff for being his age. So i respect it.

Backstory and feelings: There's absolutely so much that has to be said about this last episode...first off this show single handedly saved my life...twice...just thinking about how much happiness this show gave me and how much time I spent watching this show during covid. And even post covid. It's insane. I fell off the face of the earth for 2 whole years. I didn't go to school because of covid and didn't talk to anyone. I was in complete isolation. And because I was up doing my classes online, I would sit on the couch and watch this show while I was doing my classes. Every morning or whenever there was a new episode I sat in my spot and watched for hours and hours. It was something I looked forward to everyday after my attempts didn't work. This was my main source of happiness for a very long time. Seeing it all close is so insanely...sad...watching this show was such a dark place in my life and im so glad I've recovered (I hit 2 years clean back in November of 2024, it's now January 2025) and im proud of my progress. Maybe the ending of this show was for the better. As much as I'd love for this show to continue ans get as big as adventure time and steven universe. I know deep down this was our little show. And shout out to thr COTC discord. I was in it in the early days and they crumbs we woukd get from these episodes then talk about later was crazy. This community has always been so nice to me in every way possible and I adore every single one I've had the pleasure of talking to or interacting with. But gosh. I'm so incredibly sad to see it go but in a way it's freeing because it reminds me of the times where all I did was cry and sit in my room. This show will be missed dearly❤️‍🩹

Spoliers Ahead !!

This whole episode was a huge nostalgia run. Seeing so many characters from ALL of the episodes ans even Xaviers comeback was crazy. It's insane to think how many characters tbis show has haha. But I do think it was an amazing last episode. I wish it was longer in many ways. But the little things like Jason giving Craig the badge and Maya and Omar making up, Bridget and the cat kid, the bike and the skate kids. And literally everything in between it was all beautifully done and the visuals never fail to overjoy me. It was an amazing last episode and I couldn't ask for a better fandom/communication to be apart of

Today's episode was a MAD kinnie moment for me. I've always kinned sparkle because that's just my personality and I always used to move. But man...this episode his ao close because recently a friend disappeared off the face of the earth. And ive been doing anything I can to kinda get them back in my life. And the whole episode was just man...I relate to this character so much in ways I never thought I would. Overall a very good episode. Also CRAIGS NAIL POLISH. IT SUITS HIM SO WELL. it was also really nice to see Raj, time keeper, and stacks in this episode. Made my heart warm

so we all know craig and wildernessa end up together in the future. But something doesn't seem to add up...I don't think craig reakly likes her like that. I feel like she asked him out and he just said yes because this is his "first girlfriend" all of this seems so fucked up. But like Idk. Puppy love is coming up so we'll see where that episode takes us in terms of this hc.
