Am I the only one who doesn't love Georgia?

I don't hate her, and I do feel for her and her trauma, but I'm rooting for her to get therapy and maybe some time in prison, too would do her good.

Okay, can people cut Ginny a break? I'm tired of seeing so many hating on her or how some are saying she is worse than Georgia when Ginny never unalive anyone! Georgia is a grown ass woman while she is still a TEENAGER who had to deal with an immature teenage mom who would move her around, a selfish mother who just wanted them for herself. Zion wanted to be a part of their lives, and his mother wanted to help out, and she kept pushing them away! And then she found her mother killed someone who had hurt her, and she couldn't exactly say those things in therapy or to her friends! Plus, the codependency they have is not healthy like all the things Georgia put her and Austin through is enough to cause anyone to snap and act out, especially a teenager!

Rewatching Ginny and Georgia since the new season just dropped and I still don't understand the Ginny-Hate.

Anything negative you could say about her is also true of Georgia, only Georgia is twice her age.

Georgia hasn't really parented yet, she's been her kid's best friend and her "discipline" is just Mean-Girling and guilt-tripping.

Ginny is a 15 year old mixed girl, with a very white mom and brother. Her father is absent. The town is mostly white. She experiences racism from a cop on her first day in the town and racism from her teacher on her first day of school.

She never had a friend before because they never stayed anywhere long enough. Imagine being 15 and not having any friends because your mother constantly moves you around.

Ginny doesn't know most of what the audience does about her mother and it's beyond unfair to blame her for not knowing what Georgia intentionally hides from her.

Georgia telling her to "be more creative" because "it's boring" to have Ginny be angry with her is not parenting. Reminding her of all the sacrifices she made for her is not parenting.

Telling her she imagined Ginny "having a terrible bratty teenage daughter and felt so bad for [her]" is not an apology.

Wolf-whistling and yelling "What a steamy hug!" at her and her date is not something a mother should do. It's something a best friend might do, but would still probably wait until her date had left.

Georgia is fierce, creative, intelligent, etc. She killed for her kids. She can disappear into thin air. She always has a quip to put you in your place. That makes a great character. But it makes a pretty difficult to handle mother.

I love how Trump scrambled so many people, wasted millions of dollars, and then the city of LA just gave him nothing. Don't let the photos of fires and talks of riots fool you, the protests were peaceful, the National Guard is just standing around in full fatigues doing nothing.

He wanted chaos and violence and a firestorm that he could use to swoop in and squash those damn woke-leftist-marxist-whatevers and the protesters didn't take the bait. There was some looting, yeah, but it wasn't connected with any protests, just some people taking advantage of the police being distracted. Which, frankly, is the police's fault for being so obsessed with people chanting and waving signs that they miss actual crimes.

Keep it up, guys. Don't break ranks, keep it peaceful, make sure the whole world sees the contrast between the overblown response and the reality. Don't let them control the narrative.
