Now that I'm coming back to GW2 full force, I did some more good hard thinking about my character roster. I just retired Ligeia; while one of my favorite screenshots of all time is of her, I could never find a direction to take her in, or any real reason to get/stay attached to her. Samra and Samiya will be grabbing her gameplay role on my roster, and now there's the QoL in place to flex her between DPS and heals.

I was also already committed to retiring Morwenna by the time I last stopped playing regularly, so that's over with. She's from a different chapter of my life and I'm okay with leaving that behind. There are a few more characters I'm also looking for a good excuse to retire, but Siocanta, despite not having a good reason for me to play her at present, will... take some more self-convincing. I have a lot more screenshots and edits I'm proud of there.

Heads up: the dye channels for the Country Lace and Ornate Outfits behave a bit strangely and you won't get separate colors for top and pants outside of the default dye scheme. I don't mind this (Aloysia simply has that slot undyed), but you may.

Last I heard, the documentary that originally proposed the Santorini theory (which is most likely being quoted in these news articles; news articles aren't good scientific sources, btw) is not considered scientifically or historically credible. The association of the pharaoh with Ramses II is an enormous guess. But that doesn't mean it's not fun and entertaining to consider rational explanations.
