April is both Autism and SA awareness month

Please know that both of these are not flexs. Both people have to live with their whole lives and it affects them possibly daily.

Autism isn’t a cute childish thing to have. No it’s not you just being awkward and into weird things. It’s also you not being able to respond to people in the same way. It’s faking yourself to fit in because the real you drives others away. Also much much more.

So please don’t see it as a cute innocent thing because it’s not. Take it seriously and don’t treat people like babies who have it

It also doesn’t make someone emotionless or a monster. Please keep yourself educated.

With SA please remember that it will most likely never be forgotten. Don’t tell someone to get over it because that’s just rude and unnecessary. Some will try to hide it but you should always be supportive of them and not force anyone to open up about it. No matter how long ago it was.

Also please remember that if someone gets flashbacks by something like touching or scenes in movies to please respect it and find or do something else. Or at least warn them first.

Remember that everyone is different so it always good to stay educated and ask.
