He never thought about life after death, about peace or any of it. Not until he got his peace, and not until he was ripped from it not mere hours ago. Standing in the very spot that he and Elijah had taken their lives. New Orleans hadn't changed much, but Klaus didn't stay long enough to actually see if it had. First, he went to the compound, took one of the longest showers known to man, got himself fed, looked for any trace of his family before finally - making his way to the quaint town of Mystic Falls. All the while, Klaus tried to feel for the ancient witch that was either no longer there, or dormant. He couldn't tell, he'd likely ask Freya if she could. Upon coming into the town, he heard of the little bonfire that was being held. He was still hungry, death did that to you. And that seemed like easy pickings.

However, as he stepped into the area - he was met with Kol's fiery attitude. A comfort, as strange as it was. "This doesn't really seem like your scene, brother." His voice was raspy, throat feeling as if it was sandpaper.

The whole idea of going to a party with a bunch of annoying teenagers and making sure there were no deaths was agonising to kol. Why Davina dragged him along confused him - but he did it, for her. Despite being softer since Davina came into his life, and hope too, he still had the wily and murderous streak in him.

He stood near the bucket of cold beers and had one in one hand and a bottle of bourbon in the other. As another approached him, he glanced to them before back to the fire roaring nearby. "you know I'm not really sociable tonight... unless we're family, get lost." he spat.

✧.* { JOSEPH MORGAN & HE/HIM & CISMALE & 25/1000+ } Is that ( NIKLAUS 'KLAUS' MIKAELSON )? I’ve seen them hanging around town here and there, I’ve heard they can be pretty VOLATILE. How typical for a ORIGINAL HYBRID. I guess they must rely on their PROTECTIVE side shining through.

Klaus is canon up until his little appearance in Legacies.

After his death, he stayed in Limbo for a little while. While he was at peace for dying for his daughter, he didn't want to leave her behind and it was that part of him that had him staying in Limbo.

He met Landon again, and Landon tried to help him cross over but Klaus has only ever been good at talking to one therapist like person before. So that was a struggle for a little while.

Finally though, Klaus crossed over into peace and it wasn't like anything he'd ever thought it would be. It was warm, and light, and comforting. He never thought he'd be deemed redeemable enough to get the chance to go into the light, but he was glad.

When the dead started coming back, Klaus did not. He wanted to. But he feared that his coming back would only be short lived and hurt Hope all over again, and he also feared that he still had Inadu in him that would go after Hope again.

So while people returned to the land of the living, Klaus stayed.

It pained him every day knowing he could see his family again, but he stayed away for their safety.

Until he could no longer - Klaus was then forced from the comfort of peace and back into the land of the living.

Klaus is just now coming back to life, and has no idea if he's still a vessel for Inadu.
