Turning off anonymous for asks. I don’t get any people sending asks just bots farming for scam gofundmes. if it’s an icky ask, it’s getting posted publicly.

Chat, is it considered “abusive roommate behavior” to release a raccoon into the living space after you have asked your roommate for months to please clean up their messes (they do not pay any of the mortgage)

Two things happened that are Horrifying Me right now.
1. I’ve realized my joint pain is a normal person’s 8-10 on the pain scale. I learned this because i had surgery and had breakthrough joint pain while on the opiate.
2. All the hospitals in my city do not know how to handle a pain crisis. I learned this while at work. On one of my bad pain days. Helping the spouse of someone being discharged despite their pain crisis.
Safe to say pain management is my #1 priority right now.
#aspenadmin#heds#is a hell of a thing#and the autism literally turned off my interception#so i am just. im wondering how much damage being in that much pain has done to my body

it’s okay to do things that make your symptoms worse (as long as you’ll stay safe)
every once in a while you need to eat something yummy. or go on a walk. or a trip to the zoo. take a hot shower. cry your eyes out. dance. listen to music. draw for way to long. write. laugh. sit in a cafe with a friend. paint your nails. dye your hair. go on a run. pet a cat
sometimes you need to do things that are cathartic or make yourself feel alive. sometimes you need the reminder of why you’re fighting so hard to stay alive
this is your reminder that just because it makes your symptoms worse, it isn’t always the wrong thing to do. there can be value in these actions

I know this PSA gets posted a lot but please, don't assume someone who apologizes a lot is trying to manipulate you.
Some do that, yeah, of course. But also there's people like me, where, after leaving my abusive home for the first time, I compulsively apologized for years, and still do do that when I'm very stressed or anxious. I'm not talking just "says sorry a bit too much" I am talking, I literally apologized to the fucking wall I walked into once, and another time I apologized to the waiter at a restaurant who told me they were out of the food I wanted to order. I'm not trying to manipulate anyone I am just really struggling to work through the idea that "something bad/weird happened" = "I did something wrong" = "I am about to get told I'm a worthless piece of shit who fucks up everything." Please be patient!
If someone's excessive apologizing does bother you (because trust me, I do get it), it might help to turn it into a question! Instead of "stop apologizing," "are you anxious? Do you need to talk?" can help a lot!
