why do you hate sprout so much?

didja know about a kind of sea critter called bobbit worms? they are 3 to 4 centimetres wide and 2 to 3 metres in length!!! they don't have eyes and hunt by burying into the sea floor and pretending to be a colourful plant - then, with their 5 black-and-white striped sensory antennae - they sense when fish are nearby, and utilise the friction they have from being so far underground to quickly propel themselves up and close their jaws on the prey, before immediately dragging them underneath the sea floor to devour them. alongside that, bobbit worms have also been used as a reference for some gigantic worms in movies! you can tell by the characteristic sand bubbling before they pop up, as well as chaetae on their sides (which are actually poisonous and can cause paralysis if not handled correctly). they reach sexual maturity at around 1 metre in length, but can reproduce both sexually and asexually, and alongside that, are usually hermaphrodites! and if you shine light on them, you'll actually find they're iridescent! final fact: they have TWO scientific names - eunice aphroditois and eunice polychaete. polychaete is correct because they have poly (greek word for 'many' or 'a lot') chaetae. yapfest over :3
