Honestly system accountability is so important but can we god damn admit that it's hard? Trying to fix something you don't remember doing, something "you" did that goes against your values, and yet clearly you did that. Not even having an explanation because you don't remember, only having guesses about what motivated your actions. Wild, heartbreaking, devastating and exhausting.
it's still important, don't comment about that, I know it is. That's not the point, read the post again.

Split doesn't exist without trauma or stress
There is no such stupidity such as "positive split" or "i split because yes"
SPLITS ARE NEGATIVELY INDUCED!! COMPANIONS ARE ALSO SPLITS!!!!!

Systober
Have you ever heard about the famous inktober thing that happens all years? Well I like the idea but not the list, so while I was thinking I decided I'll do my own inktober with a special theme, system!
This is done just for fun, a creative and random activity for all the systems out there that want to join, if you think this is dumb, cringe or something like that well just scroll and don't do it lmao
Although inktober is for artists you don't have to draw to participate, if you want to make collages or write about it go ahead and do it, tho it's true that the challenge is more aligned to drawing
You don't know what systober is? Well it's a challenge consisting on drawing each day of october one thing that will depend of the challenge you choose to do, in this case, would be about your system
Here's the list
Tumblr media
If you have a question about what means something you can ask us and we'll happily answer your questions
If you're gonna participate in this it would be highly appreciated if you use one of this two hashtags for your posts #systober #systober 2024
Important note, this challenge is not for endos, endos DNI with us, this post or the systober
That's all I have to say, I hope to see at least one system besides me participating in this activity, see ya and thanks, have a fantastic day/night!

the only reason im anti endo is because theres no scientific evidence for endo systems. if the science changed, id be pro endo, but thats just not the case.
and no, i dont "worship the dsm", im quite critical of psychiatry. current science is also critical of the psychiatric system.
science collects evidence and draws conclusions from it.
conclusions such as asylums are bad, letting people transition is good, and endogenic systems can not exist because highly differentiated ego states can only develop when childhood trauma gets in the way of normal development of the mind.
thats what a system is. we dont truly "split" because there was never a whole. a childs brain doesn't have a solid sense of self, and long term trauma stops it from becoming a single self. systems quite literally have multiple senses of the self.
when we split an alter, its actually a new sense of self developing, because we dont have a solid identity.

No one talks about grieving with D.I.D, and how badily it affects your entire system. Like people without D.I.D keep telling us that we are going through the five stages of grief etc and that you go through them in order, but for us it feels like its something that constantly restarts itself and loops due to switches.
Like no matter how much we think that we are finnaly at the acceptance stage it feels like we go right back to denial again.
I am NOT saying feeling this way automatically equals having D.I.D, but us feeling this way is most likely because of that.
Can anyone else relate??

Note
sys culture is quite literally
"I don’t feel so good! Why are all my limbs slack!? Why can’t I move my eyes!? Why can’t I move my mouth!? Is this an eternal dialogue!? I can’t see the end of the horizon—
HATSUNE MIKU???"

Do people forget muscle memory exists
"Why do you and all your alters write basically the same way?"
Perchance because our hand has been writing that way since we learned how to write. Just a thought though

i wish racism wasn’t so normalized in the system community. it makes me feel unsafe to interact with people.

We should probably normalize not knowing information about your system like what an alter's role is, total alter count, who is fronting, etc, since that is actually very normal.

still funny to me that the people in my life just started calling the "other me" that "acted different" and who I shared no memories with "amnesia mae"
they'd be like "do you remember going to the dojo yesterday" and i'd say no, and they'd say "yeah I figured, it was amnesia mae"
but none of us had even heard of DID/OSDD at the time
