Born and raised on the wrong side of the tracks, Rik Martínez never had quite the chances others would have. His mother having died at his birth, his father imprisonated for drug dealing when he was six years old, he only had his nana to look up to. When she fell ill, he had no other chance but to follow into his father’s criminal’s footsteps and was quickly taken under the Ghoulie’s wings. He dropped out of school and started selling jingle jangle on the streets, or, really, whatever the Ghoulies gave him to sell, but no matter how much money he made, his nana was still old, her time up; no matter what he did. So when she died, every innocence the young man of now 10 years had left died with her. The only family now being his gang, Erik quickly turned his bitterness into violence, his sadness into brutality that made him a good ally, much to Malachai’s liking, but to an even worse enemy. (Erik Alejandro Martínez, a.k.a. Ghoulie#1, Malachai’s former best friend and right hand that ended up in L&L Juvenile Detention Center because of a certain red-haired Andrews but accidentally also got pardoned because of him right before the new Lodge prison opened its doors, now hellbent on getting the Ghoulies back together, no matter what it takes)
