Might actually plan a multi-story arc with Lady Cinders
However, what should I do it on?
Reblogs welcome to help me get a more thorough idea of what people want!

The Charming Stranger takes a seat. Across from her sits a Bespectacled Captain of a combat-scarred locomotive, one who claims to have seen all of the skies.
“Look ‘ere, madam,” he starts, his tone strict, “I can’t be seen with a lady such as yerself, hear?”
“And why not?” Inquires the Stranger, her own tone sharp. “Worried to be found in the company of a Lady?”
“N-No, not at all! It’s just… my crew’ll think that we’re an escort vessel if they spot you.”
“So you’re worried about your reputation. Of course.” She sighs, disappointed. “Figures.”
She stands, clearly finished with this conversation. The Captain begs her to come back, but his words are too stuttered and incomprehensible to be understood.
“Tch… what was I thinking… asking the Captain of a very clearly battle-scarred locomotive… honestly, Cinders, you know better…” she grumbles to herself, setting out once again to the streets of London.

tbh I kinda missed your chaos when I left flumblr
that's why you stuck around in my follow list for some time after I had left
my dash is fairly quiet a lot of the time bc i Only follow flumblr blogs which is great for seeing posts when i have time to scroll the dash & i love how curated it is
but it also means that on days when i can only be online for a couple hours a night and i am just rapidfire posting. my dash is pretty much 99% Just Me. to anyone else who only follows flumblr blogs, welcome to that time of night again, my city now

Might write a thingy with Irem and Parabola involving my gal... after all, with her ties to the Multiverse, Vixen is used to the weirdness, so what's a land of mirrors or a city that will be sitting in the glassy Pillared Sea to her?

Traversing the Treacherous Skies
The chugging of the engine is a rhythmic sound, so much so that crew members often find themselves tapping along. Lennox Copperbore, also known as the Joyful Engineer, is no exception, despite her preferring to stay behind the helm.
"Captain! New Winchester sighted dead ahead!" calls the Bespectacled Cartographer, peeking his head in. A smirk graces Lennox's lips and a pleasant chuckle can be heard coming from her. "Good to hear. We all deserve some time home."
However, as she says this, a feeling of melancholy descends upon her. Her true home is all the way in Albion. London... the Fifth City... she misses it. It's unfortunate that she can't really go there... she has business to attend to in the Reach. Not to mention, she's been tasked with continuing her predecessor's legacy. Poor Vixen... she was lost in an accident some time ago... Lennox sighs and removes her cap in a silent salute. The Bespectacled Cartographer, seeing this, approaches.
"Thinking about Madam Cinders again, were you?" he asks, concerned for Lennox's well-being. She nods. "These skies can be unforgiving... Vixen was a brilliant woman. Some say that she was the Daughter of the Multiverse, whatever that means. Unfortunately, even her brilliance couldn't have prepared her for such an encounter."
Lennox nods glumly. She's well aware, but the whole ordeal still left her shaken. The sound of that explosion... the sight of the fox being sucked into the abyss, tears filling her cerulean eyes... Lennox shakes her mind clear. Now's not the time to grieve. She needs to focus on docking. She dismisses the Cartographer, and returns her attention to in front of her, where she proceeds to position the locomotive just right to allow the docking mechanisms to lock it in place. A collective sigh of relief is heard at that final "thunk." They're home.

((There was no link lmao :P there would’ve been an underline))
To whomever receives this letter…
Hiya! I’ve been feeling around for some connections… best way to help me get around to navigating this place, right?
Ah. Right. Introductions.
The name’s Vixen. You might’ve heard news about a second humanoid fox wandering the streets of London. (Apparently there was this fellow named Nyx who vanished some time ago?) Anyways… I’m that fox. You’re probably used to it weirder things.
It might be a bit difficult to pin me down, since I like to wander, however should you manage to get me to stay (politely, of course!) I’d love to talk more!
Cya round, friend!
Hm… the writing style suggests that this “Vixen” is not originally from London… perhaps not even from this timeline? But that’s preposterous…
@the-charming-stranger
A letter arrives. The writing is delicate and thoughtful, the wording sophisticated.
Open the Letter
It couldn't hurt now... would it?
A matter of luck: it could go either way. Your Luck quality gives you a 50% chance of success.
[LET'S SEE...]
A letter? Isaac received many of them, though he didn't recognize this sender. The writing on the envelope looked especially neat and meticulous, though, so he sighed, wondering which socialite wanted to commission him this time and if their ideas would be any fun. He opened the letter and began to read it.
(unfortunately, the link on here wouldn't let me click it, but feel free to dm or comment it)

I would recommend against buying a fish... save your Echoes!
This is such a gentle suggestion.

Perhaps I would like to purchase a fish.

Glad to be back! :D

Gateways
A bright, almost comforting light emanates from an unknown source deep in the alleyways of Veilgarden, before vanishing just as fast as it arrived. Where the light once shone, a fox, dressed in attire completely unseen before now, can be spotted.
"Alright, Dad... where do you think you're sending me this time?" she ponders, her dialect foreign. She sounds... unlike a Londoner. American, perhaps? Regardless, she's clearly not from around here.
The newcomer glances around and spots her surroundings. Upon noticing that, with her current outfit, she would stick out entirely, she gives a deft wave of her hand. Within an instant, her admittedly shameful (for this universe) outfit shifts to something much more tasteful: a cream white, long-sleeved top, and a celestial-patterned dress overtop. An observer would notice that the pattern on the dress does not move with the fabric, but rather it follows their perspective as if it were seen through a window.
"Well, Vixen," she mutters to herself, "it's time to go explore, and get familiar with your new surroundings..."
And with that, she steps out of the alleyway, and joins the throngs of people walking the streets of Fallen London. Vixen Cinders, the Daughter of the Multiverse, begins a new chapter in her story.
Hello again, Fallen London. After a decent hiatus, I find myself returning to the Neath.
PAST NAME: Tales from the Neath
MAIN: @the-clockwork-vixen
CHARACTER FOCUS: Vixen Alexandra Cinders, aka the Charming Stranger
ABOUT ME: Heya hi! I’m the Clockwork Vixen, also known as simply “Vix” or “Vixen!” I used to be into the world of the Neath some time ago, however my interest faded after some time. But then came my fascination with Sunless Skies, which rekindled my interest in Neathy pursuits. You might remember me by my past name: Tales from the Neath - a multi-character blog following my four Neath OCs: Nyx Valehart Darkhelm, Alisha Scott, Winston (whatever the fuck his last name was), and Mr Roses! It’s nice to be back, and I hope that I will be able to successfully re-integrate myself into the Neath!

A Whisper on the Wind
Wandering the streets, you overhear a conversation. Something seems to be happening.
Have you heard? There's another fox in town… perhaps they're related to that Nyx Darkhelm individual who vanished some time ago…
Nyx Darkhelm? Another fox? What could that mean?
Eavesdrop
Perhaps you should linger… out of sight, of course.
A very modest challenge. Your Shadowy quality gives you a 75% chance of success.
[LISTEN IN]
Valuable Tidbits (Success)
You're quite right! However, this new arrival seems to be much different from Darkhelm… perhaps in more ways than we first thought…
The second person gossips. Oh, now you're intrigued. You can somewhat recall spotting a glimpse of a fox some time ago… wearing a dress boasting a design that shifted with your perspective rather than with the fabric. Before you can catch any more of the conversation, something clips your shoulder. A person ran past and had bumped into you!
Pursue Her
She might be the fox those two were discussing…
A chancy challenge. Your dangerous quality gives you a 50% chance of success.
[STOP!]
Let Her Go
She simply bumped you… nothing to get all up in arms about.
[IT WAS NOTHING…]
