So we begin...

I thought it only proper that the first post in this blog feature the first appearances of both of our heroes, as well as their first meeting, so let’s go!

We start with Tales of Suspense #52, and the first appearance of The Black Widow!

Known as Madame Natasha then - and paired up with a fellow Russian named Boris (please tell me y’all get that) - she started out as an Iron Man villain. Created by Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Don Rico, here we have her first appearance within the pages of the comic:

Natasha goes on to be a thorn in Tony’s side in issue #53, and I’m not sure what to tell you about her strangely morphing hair colour (black on one cover while red in the interior, then reversed the next issue). That brings us to Tales of Suspense #57!

“We think Hawkeye is so terrific we plastered him all over our cover!” I agree, Marvel, I agree!  Created by Stan Lee and Don Heck, we first meet Hawkeye (it will be many issues before we ever learn his real name) at the circus:

Iron Man then steals the show and Clint is all “hey, I can be a better hero than him and then everyone will love and admire me!” basically, makes himself a costume and heads out to fight crime!  It doesn’t go as planned, as the cops mistake him for a thief!  I’m just going to include the entire next page of our star-crossed lovers first meeting.

And there you have it!  How better to close out this first entry to The Clintasha Project than that very ominous narration in the final panel?   But fear not, True Believers, there is much more to come!

Welcome to The Clintasha Project!

On this blog I will be chronicling every instance of Clintasha I encounter while slowly working through Marvel Unlimited!  It’s a mountainous task to be sure, but won’t it be nice to have them all (eventually) in one place?

Not only that, but while the focus will be mainly on the 616 comics, I will also be including interactions from other universes, because as we all know these two are important to each other in pretty much every one!

So I hope you’ll join me on this venture and find even more to love about this amazing ship!
