Out of a moment of aching sadness and fury and manic impulsivity, a wizard turns a killer whale trapped in a theme park aquarium into a human so she can smuggle it out of the park and back into the wild.

"Director Phoebe Kemp said in a statement: “Twelfth Night already toys with gender and performance – it feels like Shakespeare wrote it for us. This reading is about joy, solidarity and showing what’s possible when trans and nonbinary artists are at the centre of the story.”"

Do you do your own hair? What’s your advice on using a razor on your beard or your head if you’re doing it for the first time? (The men in my family have never used a razor to their face or hair so I’m completely in the dark and incredibly afraid to screw it up and come out looking like the ugliest guy alive 😭)
Heya!
My partner and I would cut each other's hair during lockdown -- we got a set of Wahl electric clippers and kept out side shaves neat (back when I had a side shave). Nothing fancy with the guards. If you have a very simple haircut like this, grab a friend.
For a beard, I would suggest going to a barber to get the lines set -- that means how high up your cheeks and how low down your neck the hair goes. Then, you can just maintain.
A lot of first-timers shave too high up their necks -- this tends to only work if you have a stubble beard and a very well defined jaw. For the rest of us, your beard needs to flow down under your jaw and onto your neck a tad.
If you don't have access to a barber, watch multiple videos on how to set your beard lines - they all tend to be a little different with advice. But they should help you visualize where your beard should fall.

For shaving facial hair down to skin, I recommend an old-fashioned wet shave. A good set of beginner's kit can mostly come from Proraso -- Pre-shave cream, shaving soap + brush, and aftershave. And a good starting razor is the Merkur Mk34c Double Edge Razor. All this stuff lasts quite a bit.
I have very sensitive skin on my face and neck and get razor burn easily with clippers or modern razors (why I initially grew a beard - to avoid razor burn as much as possible). But I've never had razor burn with an old fashioned wet shave.
My general routine for a wet shave:
If it's been a while, use my beard clippers to trim my neck down, but not so far where it will irritate my skin
Get a mug of hot water ready, insert brush to soak
Apply pre-shave cream to face
Replace razor blade, if necessary
Rinse face with warm water
Lather up shaving soap with brush and apply to face
Take my time shaving with the razor, pulling the skin taut as I go
Rinse off with warm water
Apply aftershave

As for clippers on your face -- also get a set of beard clippers (these are smaller than what is used for your hair atop your head). Most guys make the mistake of using a single clipper guard everywhere on their face, but you may want to switch out guards to taper things, and even use a pair of scissors to catch stray hairs, shape more, trim above your lips, etc. (Also note that the set above includes nose hair trimmers second from the left -- these don't hurt, they just tickle a tad. Definitely get in the habit of using.)
When using electric clippers, always make sure you have the right guard and it's securely on -- I've had a few times where I accidentally shaved off weeks of growth.
Again, a barber can help you decide on what type of facial hair best suits you. Or, just experiment. Beards are like makeup contour -- I use mine to thin out my face and give it more of an oval shape.
Remember, it's just hair and it will grow back. But experiment a little and give yourself time -- it's a skill like anything else you will need to learn and practice.

hi, sorry this is out of nowhere, but i saw you being a self-described nuisance about wrist pain to otiksimr and i'm wondering if you could give examples of some stretches? i have fibromyalgia and my wrist is being a real pain at the moment (it hurt to type yesterday evening. i'm an it student. it suuuucks). no obligation though. thank you regardless :)
Hi! I wish I could help, but all I know is the most basic things to do for carpal tunnel syndrome or whatever it is that happens to my own wrists, and I know just enough about disabilities in general to know that they can really change what is and isn't helpful/hurtful. Maybe @enbygnome could help? It just made a post here about exercising with fibromyalgia, as well: link.

HYPED HYPED THERE'S A SOUTH AMERICAN ANIME IN THE WORKS MADE AND FOR SOUTH AMERICANS Its so rare to see southam animation let alone one that has mythos!!!!!!! HYPED It looks like it is made from a studio based in Peru name Ninakami. The anime takes a lot of inspiration from the indigenous Quechua influences and other Andean and regional cultures. It even uses the indigenous language in its tittle! 🔥"APUKUNAPA KUTIMUYNIN- El Regreso de los Dioses/ Return of the Gods "🔥

If you’re still “separating the art from the artist” with HP please know you are directly funding people having their rights taken away
