Headcannons 2.0 - The Dark Elements/The Harbringer Trilogy

tw: discussion of sexual assault and miscarriage (not related)

Stacey and Layla have a falling out sometime after the events of Grace and Glory. I don’t imagine it happening right away, but sometime within five or so years.

Layla and Roth grow closer to Trinity and Zayne over time. I think it’s also only a matter of time because they are gray in a world that likes to see things in black and white. Trinity and Zayne are going to outlive everyone else around them. I imagine that would be very isolating for them. I think it’s inevitable that they end up friends. (I might do a longer post on this because I truly believe that they would eventually become very important to each other).

Danica is also a survivor of Petr’s particular brand of vileness. It was years before Layla’s own experiences with him. She never told anyone.

Stacey becomes famous. I imagine her making music and building an online fan base before getting really famous. Like not crazy famous, but big enough to pay the bills.

Layla and Roth keep an eye on the anti-christ when they're born. Partly because Roth’s been ordered to do so, partly because it’s just a good idea.

The anti-christ becomes a target for other demons and wardens and Layla and Roth have to step in. Layla has been advocating from the beginning to tell the mother everything. She knows better than anyone what it's like to be blindsided by information that should have been shared with you.

Jayda and Tye are big advocates for change in the warden communities. They want women to be allowed to learn how to defend themselves. Trinity and Zayne back them. So do Danica and Jasmine as well as Dez and Nicolai.

Zayne and Trinity never have kids. They both like kids but agree that neither of them wants to be a parent.

Layla and Roth have a daughter named Jude. They have her a good twenty years or so after the events of Grace and Glory. They didn’t want to rush into anything, and they wanted to experience life without the responsibility of parenthood.

Layla did accidentally get pregnant once before they had her. This is something like fifteen years before she gets pregnant with Jude. She miscarries at twenty weeks.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve already read this book more times than you can count. I personally listened to the audiobooks the first time I read this series.

While the audiobooks through audible are great, this was a fun way to reexperience one of my favorites.

Hello everyone!

I am starting this blog because there is hardly any content for this series/fandom online. I'd like to change that since it's one of my favorites.

I first read Storm and Fury back in 2019 when it came out and since then I've read a lot of Jennifer L Armentrout's books and this world still remains my favorite by far.

This page is mainly dedicated to The Dark Elements Trilogy and The Harbringer Trilogy since they're the two I'm most familiar with. But I have read quite a bit of Jennifer's other works so I wouldn't mind the occasional ask about them as well.

I'm just here to have a good time and find people who want to do the same.

I do write fanfiction so if you have any ideas I'd love to hear them and see if anything catches my eye. I do love to see people's requests, but there is no guarantee or promise that I'll write something if you submit a request. I will try my best though!

That being said please don't be shy. I love to talk about these characters and this world so feel free to send me any kinds of questions or thoughts you might have.

Headcannons - The Dark Elements/The Harbringer Trilogy

Hello all! Since I'm just getting this blog up and running I wanted to start with something simple and easy to interact with. Feel free to add to this list or message me with your own thoughts and opinions.

As mentioned, I do love to talk about this world and these characters so I'm truly down to chat about anything, so don't be shy.

Also, as a reminder this is all for fun. I'm here to have a good time, so if this isn't your cup of tea that's fine.

Without further ado here are some of my personal headcannons:

Trinity has ADHD - this isn't really a headcannon because it's all but confirmed in Grace and Glory, but I like mentioning it.

Danica and Jasmine are Hispanic.

Geoff left after Abbott died. Gideon was hired to replace him as the resident 'tech guy'.

Layla is a Scorpio. I've tried to do the math several times to figure out what her sign would be and based on the timeline she'd have to be either a Scorpio or a Libra. Yes, this is partially me projecting since I'm a Scorpio. (let me know if you think my math's off though).

Sam was autistic. Based on what we see of him he exhibits a lot of the traits of autism. I also headcannon that Layla is on the spectrum as well and that's part of why they got along so well. I feel like she doesn't read social cues or understand social norms very well, and honestly same.

Cayman fell in love with a human once.

Trinity is Bisexual. You can pry this from my cold dead hands.

Roth plays the piano really well. He also has an amazing singing voice. No one outside of Layla and Cayman have heard him sing.

Morris was on vacation during The Harbringer Trilogy. Because seriously where did he go? I loved him in The Dark Elements Trilogy and he was nowhere to be seen.

Layla prefers to stay at Roth's apartment because she can leave and go places without needing to drive. And it's smaller with a cozier feel to it.

Trinity loves The Last of Us. She played the first video game when she was younger and more recently played The Last of Us Part Two. I think she would appreciate the story telling and the fact that part two is the first fully accessible video game for the visually impaired. Yes, this is me projecting again as I love The Last of Us, never played the video games since my mom never allowed us to play violent games, but the storytelling is amazing.

Layla is a book nerd. I mean all kinds of books. Ranging from fictional novels to comics. She spent a lot of time reading when she was younger.

Since Roth and Layla shared Bambi as a familiar Roth's taken on some of her traits. Nothing too dramatic or noticeable, but he'll sometimes have much stronger human emotions.
