Hey everyone! These are the skills I used to learn German in about two weeks! It takes a lot of work obviously but it’s so worth it. 💕⚡️
1. Use a language program like Memrise or Duolingo. I think that programs like these are super helpful for getting acquainted with the language you want to learn and for understanding basic grammar. I mostly use them as a break from the other work that I do but they are definitely good practice.
2. Make a list of the top 1,000 most common words and work on memorizing them in chunks. I worked on memorizing about 50-100 words a day. It sounds like a lot but many of the words are different verb tenses of the same word so it ends up being less work that you expect. Also, from using Memrise and Duolingo, a lot of the words were already familiar to me. I wrote a list of the words for the day each morning and during my breaks from school work I would quiz myself on them.
3. Watch lots of Youtube videos to study grammar and tenses. The internet is your friend when it comes to learning a new language so take advantage of the resources! I would google everything that confused me and watch videos on it until I felt like I really had a grasp. Doing this ensures that you have a strong foundation to learn new vocabulary.
4. Translate music from your main language into your target language and vice versa. This is a fun way that I would practice verb conjugations and my vocabulary recollection. Any word that I hadn’t learned already, I would look up and be able to add it to my vocab list. Also, this is really fun practice and the rhythm made it easier to remember what I was learning.
5. Keep a post-it note to write down any questions you have or things that you don’t understand. This way, you can remember to look up what was confusing you instead of forgetting what you don’t know. By keeping track of what I understood well and what I needed to continue practicing, I was more organized in my practice and spent my time better.
This obviously isn’t an easy way to learn a language but you defintiely get results based on the effort you put in. Message me if you have any other suggestions for langblrs, I’m always interested in learning more!

It’s been almost a year since the shit-show that was the GOT series finale and I am STILL bitter about it.
Seriously, though. Like, the minute it comes up in conversation I’m like
*velociraptor screeching*

man I really loved tonights episode
that scene where Jaime kills Cersei in the throne room with his Ned’s Valyrian steel, claiming justice on behalf of the Starks and fulfilling Maggy the Frog’s prophecy? or when Cersei stabbed him with a knife and he staggered forward and collapsed on the Iron Throne, mirroring when he killed the Mad King? i especially loved when Daenerys walks in and sees his corpse sitting there and understands what he did.
and the part where Sandor cuts of the Mountain’s head and leaves his body burning? talk about symbolism! i’m especially glad that they didn’t kill Sandor off unnecessarily. i also really liked how he lost his eye in the fight and used the strip of cloth to bind it and how it made him look just like Beric.
that part where Grey Worm stopped the Northmen from killing the unarmed Lannister soldiers was really cool too. you could see how conflicted he was about it, but he knew he couldn’t lose himself to hate. i knew he wouldn’t betray Missandei’s memory.
i was certainly concerned about Daenerys throughout the episode, but she really came through in the end. when she realized that Cersei had hidden casks of wildfire around the city and knew that she couldn’t risk the lives of the civilians with her dragonfire. and how she instead flew straight to the Red Keep to take the fight directly to Cersei? really really good.
when Arya saw Gendry across the battlefield and tried to maker it to him but was being held back by the crowds? that was incredible. and how he could hear her scream his name over the noise of the battle and ran towards her voice even when he couldn’t see her? i can’t wait to see them reunite in the next episode.

The Princess That Was Promised Shall Bring The Dawn.
Arya Stark has the blood of Kings and is the sister of a king. This means she’s a princess, the princess that was promised Shall bring the dawn, that princess is Arya.
She is the prophesised hero, Melisandre told her she’d shut Blue Eyes forever, wights and The Night King had blue eyes. Beric Dondarrion was brought back so many times because his final calling was protecting the princess, he had to stay alive until she was ready to perform her duty.
Let’s also not forget her name.
Arya- taken from the name Aria; a slow song.
Arya = Song
White Walkers = Ice
Dragons = Fire
A Song Of Ice And Fire.
George RR Martin also said “Pay attention to the Direwolf names, they’re important to the Starks.”
Nymeria is the name of Arya’s Direwolf. Nymeria was a Warrior Queen of the Rhoynar, who led her people to safety during a devastating war. Which is exactly what Arya did.
She saved Westeros, she saved the North. She saved her people and led them into a New Dawn. Arya Stark is The Princess That Was Promised.
