Honestly, not much. It wasn’t like they were involved at all. They only spoke really when it came to Namsaeng and the fact that they both wanted what was best for him. “A whole lot of nothing,” Spencer said honestly.
San-Ho agreed and laughed. “It’s true. I did a lot of songwriting – at least trying. Some of it good. Some awful. And as for Spencer…I think you could guess.”
All three of them spoke at the same time. “Work.”

San-Ho rolled his eyes. “I’m not nagging you, I’m just right and you’re stubborn as shit.”
Spencer was still laying next to Namsaeng and he started to shake with laughter. “I won’t nag I just want you to take care of yourself and not die.”
He could sense that Namsaeng was tired of being “ganged up on” but he needed to get it out of his head that there was anything between him and San-Ho. “And before you say anything, there is nothing going on between me and San-Ho and there never will be so don’t say a damn word.”
Getting up from the bed, he started walking toward the door. “Do you want me to get you something from home so you’re not bored?”
He thought about it and said, “my laptop should be sufficient, and some clothes that aren’t…” He gestured to what he was currently wearing, “this shit. Bring anything else that you might think of. I’d rather spend my time working than doing nothing.”

As soon as he walked in the door, San-Ho said hello to Sigyn and pressed a kiss to Namsaeng’s lips. “Yes. Very much so. How was the honeymoon?” He laughed.
The new husband rolled his eyes. Sigyn just walked in and did exactly as she had before.
After Spencer shook off the slight pang of jealousy, he approached Namsaeng and kissed him, feeling like he was home. It felt nice to have him back. “I really have. I’m glad we can start to go back to normal. At least a little bit.”

“So what do you think they’re doing right now?” San-Ho asked. He could think of a few things, but they didn’t bother him as much as they did Spencer.
Spencer bristled at the thought. If it was anything like that night at the club then Namsaeng was drunk of his ass and fucking his friend. Sure he couldn’t fall in love with women, but he could still get pleasure from the sex, and that was enough to make Spencer’s skin crawl. “I have an idea, but I’m trying not to dwell on it.”
“You know he loves you.”
“I do! But I hate the fact that he can get pleasure from someone he has no feelings for. You’re a different story. He loves you too, but Sigyn…I don’t know. I just don’t like it.”
“Well, they’ll be home soon and then we can try and put this behind us and get this case closed before their marriage becomes to much of a media spectacle.”

Both San-Ho and Spencer knew what this was for, but it still sucked. Especially because Namsaeng and Sigyn would soon leave on their “honeymoon” to keep up appearances.
Sigyn looked gorgeous and Namsaeng looked as handsome as ever. It wasn’t fair. Spencer wanted to be the one standing in Sigyn’s place.
“You jealous?” San-Ho asked.
Spencer nodded. “Yea, a little bit. I won’t lie.”
“Hopefully, this will all be over soon.”

Spencer took a seat in the chair where San-Ho had been sitting when he left for the house. “I can’t tell you how much I would enjoy that. I want this done. I want to go back to working hard and playing harder. I’m over this shit in my life.”
San-Ho nodded softly. “Seriously. Me too.”
As Namsaeng drifted off to sleep, Spencer prayed he could keep him in the hospital for at least a few more days.

“I would like that,” San-Ho replied. “I just want this case to be over. I want to live in peace. We’ve been through enough.”
That they had.
When Spencer returned with the laptop and clothes, he smiled at the picture of the two of them snuggled up together on the small hospital bed. “Am I interrupting?” He asked softly. “I come bearing a laptop and a change of clothes for both of you.”

San-Ho smiled and closed his eyes. “I wouldn’t think of leaving. Not after almost losing you. You scared the crap out of me you know?”
Immediately, the smile fell from his face. Seeing him so close to the brink of death had scared him more than he wanted to admit. Maybe even more than when he wiped his mind and left him behind. “You think there’s room for me on that bed now?”

Spencer left San-Ho to be with Namsaeng while he went back to the house to grab some of his things. His laptop was one. He picked up some new clothes, basically pajama pants that were stretchy so they wouldn’t hurt his healing wounds, and another outfit for San-Ho because Spencer was pretty sure he wasn’t going to leave the hospital until Namsaeng did.
As he searched around for anything else to bring, he found a ring. It was probably going to be Sigyn’s whenever they decided to go through this sham of a marriage. He put it back where he left it before leaving to go back to the hospital. Now wasn’t the time to bring that up.

There were days where Spencer really wanted to smack the living shit out of his boyfriend. Actually, that was nearly every day. “Just because you have superhuman powers, doesn’t mean you can heal quickly. You’re not Logan for fucks sake. Also you’re on crazy pain pills – of course you’re not in pain.”
San-Ho came back with the doctor a few moments later. “Not good news. You have to stay here for a few days.”
The doctor told Namsaeng that to leave within the next three days would be extremely detrimental to his health. However, he could have things brought to him to do if he was losing his mind from boredom – which he was. “So, listen to the damn doctors if not to us okay?”

Spencer placed his flattened palm onto Namsaeng’s chest. “You are not moving for at least a few days. I may not be a medical doctor, but I know each to say that you’ll rip open your bullet wounds if you try and get up right now.” How could he even think of moving at a time like this?
“Seriously,” San-Ho added. “I get we have things to do and you want more information but rushing recovery isn’t the best way to go about it.” Standing up, he walked toward the door. “I’ll go get a doctor and see what they say.”

San-Ho chuckled and gave Namsaeng’s hand a squeeze. “So nice the way you speak to me,” he said. “I’ve been here for three days. Since you were shot. The only reason I don’t smell like absolute garbage is because Spencer was bringing me clothes from home.”
Glancing over, he shot Spencer a smile. “Thanks by the way. I know we were idiots.”
“Damn straight,” he replied.
Both men could feel Namsaeng’s internal eye roll. “I’m just thankful you’re both alive. I still think both of us deserve special treatment and sexual favors for saving your life.”

“Maybe…” He laughed. “What kind of benefits do I get as your assistant? Instead of pay may ask for being spoiled and sexual favors?” It’s not like he didn’t already do pretty much everything Namsaeng wanted of him.
He ran his hand through Namsaeng’s hair and leaned his head into him. “And my only stipulation is that if you treat me like dirt and humiliate in front of other people, I will kick your ass,” he laughed, smiling as he kissed his head.

“Just a few bullet holes…” Spencer said shocked. “If you weren’t already on death’s door I’d kill you myself.”
The idea of going on tour with him was actually appealing. He could see things up close, keep on eye on Namsaeng and make sure he didn’t do something unbelievably stupid and hopefully be there as back-up just in case anything did happen. But what Gwangmin would say about leaving UMBRA for a period to go on tour was another thing. Maybe he could say it would be easier to solve this case if he was up close and personal with the perceived parties involved. “Maybe I will come on tour.”

Spencer wanted to protest, but Namsaeng was never going to listen to him anyway. It was best just to keep an eye on him all the time. “Immortals,” he said derisively. “You are unbelievable but I’m never going to change your mind. Can you at least for the love of all that is good and pure in the world wait until you’ve recovered from these bullet wounds?”
Knowing Namsaeng he’d want to get up and leave in two days.

“You were investigating whether or not Lu-Ten was The Black Phoenix, one of the world’s most notorious and deadly assassins, and you didn’t expect to get shot?” Spencer asked incredulously, laughing as he continued, “I thought I picked up a sexy and smart one. Apparently it was just the looks.” The sarcasm in his voice was evident, but he was definitely taking advantage of the fact that Namsaeng couldn’t move that freely yet. “As for the information, we knew that they were Ryo’s girls, but now we have the fact that they were also trading in alien tech, and the fact that Ryo’s involved in more than we thought.”
Suddenly, San-Ho opened his eyes, hesitant to look Spencer’s way for fear of getting yelled at. It was kind of Spencer’s default lately – although he didn’t blame him.
Spencer didn’t have the energy to be mad right now; he was just glad Namsaeng was alive. “Thanks for keeping him alive,” he spoke softly. “You’re both still idiots though.”

Spencer stood up, a small and barely measurable smile on his face as he sat on Namsaeng’s side. “I’m so mad at you,” he whispered. “Stupid, stupid decision. Just because you have fucking superpowers doesn’t mean someone can’t put a bullet in your heart.”
Turning to the side, he kissed Namsaeng’s hair. “Why do you constantly make dumb decisions?” He chuckled.
