"Do not make me come in here again."
"Yes ma'am." And with that, the door shut again and Alastair sighed, throwing aside his glasses and rubbing his eyes with an exhaustive groan
"God I need Lay 'ere…"

Lydia got up once more, pushing in her chair and heading towards the door.
"And Alastair?"
"Yes…?"

"If they have anything they want to say to us deal-wise, they come through me and me alone. They are NOT allowed to upturn their noses at us and then turn around and make a mockery of us."
Alastair nodded
"Agreed."

Begrudingly Lydia nodded, turning her glare back at Alastair once more
"No more deals with the Americans, am I understood?."
"Yes, maam."

"…"
Lydia looked away with a huff, knowing that he was right
"At least she'll be somewhere safe where we can monitor her, and we know she isn't a possible collateral to this…empire you and your father built. I do not want her stuck in there either. But if desperate times call for it, we will manage. We have done it before…"

Lydia rolled her eyes at him, now sitting down in the chair across from him
"And…if something happens to our Vixen, well…she's a young fisty girl who was unsatisfied with her life after her brother's disappearance. She could've…ran off to Glasgow or Grampain all to get the attention a missing person's case would bring her. Vixen’s already a household icon. We've got plenty of stuff prepared for advertisements. It breaks my heart to say, but…We knew what we were risking by hiring her. So far, that risk has paid off, wouldn't you agree?"

In response, Lydia just glared daggers at him
"He failed on the deal AND betrayed any trust she might've had in him. I was paying attention to what he was saying. Vivian and Him had an interaction before where Vivian told him not to do so, and he betrayed that. You and I both know how much she values trusting people, why she keeps running back to us. It was a risk, but we cut everything off for the public; only the company knows about this occurrence. It's nothing we can't just sweep under the rug again."

"Out of Line.-- Out of Focking Line--"
"But. As you said. Vivian was not there, so she did not hear him, correct?"

"Whot?. What Grandiose Explanation Do You Have To Give Me?."
"I will admit that the deal I made with him was…out of line"

"ALASTAIR!"
Alastair quickly stood up as a finely dressed woman with short black hair slammed his door open, but before he could stammer a word out, she already interrupted him

'Alright'
'Just do not lose track of time'
'Your priority is the show'
‘Understood’
Vixen sighed as she put her phone down and sat in front of her letter desk again, debating if she should write to anyone or if that was asking for just more trouble.
Regardless she’d eventually have to write to Alois again to tell him that he can come with whatever gift he had planned
As if he wasn’t a seemingly omnipotent being who knew everything…
…
She hit her head against the table
She knew who she wanted to write to. She knew writing to him was only welcoming more side adventures that she would get so consumed with she’d completely forget about the show. And god forbid if ALASTAIR found out she forgot a show because she was spending time with Charles…
God….she better play matchmaker for him or hope this little crush disappears fast. All this pining was just asking for heartbreak.
…
I wonder if I should invite him? No- no, probably not. Won’t understand the advertising aspect of everything…

'How is everything'
'Ly wanted me to ask'
Vixen sighed as she headed back in again after doing a sweep of the studio, shimmering dress and heels still on. Now just have to…wait for the day!
‘Looks better than I could ever imagine!’
‘Saturday can’t come soon enough!’
She wasn’t lying, everything did look fantastic. The time and details the team spent into making a flashy birthday bash like Vixen would have was truly breathtaking to the girl. Yet…she couldn’t help but feel a little hollow knowing most of the cheers were going to come from NPCs and not family or friends…hopefully they’ll give her something good to drink besides just champagne again.
‘Might do some work over here again so don’t expect me out anytime soon’
‘Thinking I can talk to a couple more people in the circus itself before showtime’

like. Mean to your niece
“Heh- mean to my niece? I am a realist for her. I am making sure that she is safe while still doing what she is assigned to do. She is a fragile little flower, and we do not need her lost within the circuit boards because she got to attached to some of the US collaterals”
