OutOfLuck: Of all the horrible things that have happened to me this year, being abused has been the hardest. I have been made out to be worthless, disgusting, ugly, and essentially nothing by my abuser. While I have aimed to stay positive and keep her negativity from bringing me down, it is much easier said than done.

This year has been absolute hell. I was beaten several times, with only one incident leaving behind a nasty bruise. Despite my pleas for help, they initially fell on deaf ears. It wasn't until months later that I was acknowledged as having been abused. Slowly, I had a handful of people support me, including my mother and closest friends.

Despite the struggle to be heard and seen as a survivor, my abuser continues to belittle me. She dismisses the pain I endured at her hands. Worse yet, she continues to tell me that everything that I have endured doesn't bother her at all. After tonight, I never want to cry myself to sleep over this pain.

As difficult as this is to say, my abuser will most likely never pay for her actions. She will always have friends and family who choose to believe that she is innocent. She'll still get her way and live a happy little life. She'll continue to pursue her education and eventually may even become a teacher.

My abuser is my twin sister. We were born only a mere 28 minutes apart. Throughout our entire life, we were raised together. We never spent more than 12 hours without the other. It wasn't until this year that the shit hit the fan. While I will always love her as my sister, I cannot continue to live with the pain buried deep within my heart.

My sister is on tumblr. We have mutual friends here too. But don't let her pretty face and sweet lies fool you. "Valencia," or whatever other names she goes by, is not to be trusted. Please be careful.
