The Laurel Canyon Ballet Company, otherwise known as The GTOs, or Girls Together Outrageously. First only known primarily as groupies, they later became basically performance artists under the tutelage of Frank Zappa, then for a brief two-year period (68-70), a rock-n-roll band. Their most famous member was Pamela Des Barres...

I’m going to be launching an etsy shop dedicated to cockatiel themed stickers (and perhaps other birbs in the future) at some point, and it would be amazing if people here could pass the message around. I’m excited to get started on this, as it takes my mind off current troubles. To have the shop shared and hopefully followed to get the ball rolling a bit would be brilliant. Content will be coming soon, and I will link when that is available too.  Many thanks!

“This was taken during the filming of the documentary Groupies. The crew set up camp in my hippie pad. They didn’t include a whole lot of footage of me because I wouldn’t dish the dirt like some of the others. I was seeing Jimmy Page at the time and wanted to remain ‘discreet!’” - Pamela Des Barres talking about her participation during the filming of Groupies music documentary.

“We loved musicians and we wanted to meet them, go out with them, be with them, whatever, in every capacity. People said we just wanted to fuck them. That was so not it, especially Christine [Frka], although she’d go through with it to just be with them and be their girlfriend and hang out and enjoy the music. We were all music freaks.” –Pamela Des Barres
