There are no Garylee specific fics that have caught my fancy, which is truly tragic because they consume my every waking thought.

All of the fics (which are few in numbers) I’ve come across are pure fluff. Wonderful stuff, really makes my heart flutter, but I miss the bitter-exes/enemies-to-lovers we got in the original AT series with Gumball and Marshall Lee.

I’ve been trying to devise a way for F&C Gary and Marshall to break up, but they’re too wholesome. They are both too mentally well and honest with each other this is devastating news. How the hell am I supposed to write a misunderstanding trope when these fuckers are up front with each other and rock at communicating?
