some of y’all need to learn more compassion for adults who are severely mentally ill or disabled… like schizophrenics who still depend on their family members and probably always will have to, autistic people who live in group homes, people with bipolar disorder who attend partial inpatient programs, etc…. people who couldn’t get college degrees, who can’t work. not everyone is like you.

Help a family of 28 seeking safety

Ibrahim @aburakhiaibrahim reached out to me because his family's campaign is progressing very slowly. As mentioned, they are a family with 28 members, 15 of whom are children.

They have a few updates posted in the GFM page. In the latest one, they mention that they have been staying in the ruins of their old home, and in an earlier update, it is mentioned that their mother has diabetes and hypertension which is more difficult to manage in their current living conditions and thus needing urgent relocation.

This campaign has been vetted by @/gaza-evacuation-funds in September. As of the time of writing, they have $6,115 CAD raised of the $50,000 goal, only 12% of the way there, with only 3 donations in the last 24 hours.
