In the trailer, Thanos already has the power stone in his gauntlet and then he puts in the space stone. Which must mean that:

Thanos first went to Xandar to fetch the orb that contained the power stone. He probably knew it was on Xandar the whole time because he knew that Ronan was probably gonna get his ass kicked and the Nova Corps would save it in their vault. Then he went to find Loki who had the Tesseract AGAIN (cough cough Thor Ragnarok), he probably beat up their ship and left Thor flying in space. Bruce Banner was probably teleported back to Earth before hand by probably Thor or Loki to keep him safe. He crashed in Doctor Strange’s place because the two brothers thought he would be safe there (except for Loki).

Anyway, Thor was thrown into the void of space and the Guardians happened to be traveling there. Remember in the leaked SDCC trailer where Mantis says, “What happened?” And then we see a bunch of broken stuff floating around? That’s probably the ship that the Asgardians and the Revengers were on. Thor was there so he crashed into the Milano, they brought him in and Mantis woke him up, and he got to meet the Guardians.

Thor probably told them that Thanos was most likely collecting the Infinity Stones since he took the Tesseract (and maybe he’s already wearing the gauntlet with the power stone??), he also told them that the reality stone is with the Collector (but didn’t his place get destroyed? Well, three years later it’s probably back together). Then the Guardians told Thor that the power stone is on Xandar, but Thor saw Thanos with the power stone though. Anyway, they needed to check if the planet was okay.

In that leaked clip with the Guardians in the Collector’s place, we don’t see Rocket and Groot with them. In the leaked SDCC trailer, we see the two with Thor. So probably Rocket and Groot went with Thor to go to Xandar and the rest of the Guardians went to the Collector’s place.

At the Collector’s place, Thanos already beat up the Collector because he also knows that he has the Aether, the reality stone. Did the Collector give up the stone? Or did Thanos fail?

Next up, in the SDCC trailer, Thor says “Something very wrong is happening” (I think?), so that means that they saw what happened to the planet of Xandar and the Nova Corps.

Thanos ordered the Black Order to go to Earth to fetch the time stone (Eye of Agamotto), the mind stone (Vision), and potentially the soul stone (it will probably show up in Black Panther, that’s why we saw that huge army in Wakanda).

Anyway, that’s how I think this movie goes. I’m not quite sure, but it seems like it.

Loki’s not evil again.

Thanos is stepping over Asgardian bodies. There’s wreckage and fire. Loki is sweaty and dirty and his clothes are torn. There was a fight here, and it wasn’t pretty.

And look at Loki’s face. He’s terrified. He’s desperate. He might even be crying. That is not the face of a villain.

That’s the face of someone who just watched his world get destroyed.

Loki is trying to save himself and whatever’s left of Asgard. He’s not helping Thanos willingly.
