Kind of sad that there is no evidence for sleep learning, or any other substantial effect of audio played while a subject is asleep.

But I have a better idea, one which would work quite well.

All I have to do is dangle a lovely pendant in front of your eyes as you're sleeping, and gently wake you up.

And once I've moulded your mind to my liking, I'll tell you it was all just a dream, an unimportant dream you can barely remember anyway. And with a tap on the forehead I'll send you back to sleep.

So each morning, there will be new things you believe, or old programming reinforced. New truths that you always believed. You always wanted to be owned and controlled. You always felt this way.

I’ve started writing a story that would make one hell of a gatcha game- 100 years after WW1 tsukumogami rise from the weapons wielded during combat as a direct result of the large amount of death causing spirits to merge. Hostile spirits raise easily in the western front where broken weapons fuse with the souls of the dammed and seek to drag more souls into their midst. They are fought by weapons that are/were extremely well cared for, who ally with humanity as only a single soul formed attached to the object leading to it being ‘pure’ both sides can go back and forth, but ultimately Europe gets fucked HARD by the rolling murder ball formed over the German-French border, with the US and Russian forces rushing to get as many of the undying forces into their hands as they race to recover Europe and prepare for the cluster fuck of WW2
