More HEAVY METAL (1981) 🤘🖤

A drawing of Taarna was given to the modelling agency to find a real life likeness and they found Canadian model, Carol Desbiens. The clip shows how closely the animators referenced her movements.

Heavy Metal is a Canadian film but the talent was international.

Those of you familiar with SCTV will recognize Eugene Levy voice acting Sternn and Joe Flaherty as his lawyer. It’s incredible but so is John Candy as Den and Harold Ramis as a superstoned alien.

Richard Corben, Berni Wrightson, Mike Ploog, Neal Adams, Howard Chaykin, Angus McKie, Chris Achilleos and Juan Gimenez all had their hands in the art and design of the film.
