monse and olivia’s relationship is literally the healthiest dynamic between two teenage girls i’ve seen on tv in so long? monse finding happiness in their friendship/olvia’s relationship with cesar even though she loves him; olivia realizing what monse has done and ending her relationship with cesar without much drama or debate - neither of them ever being in competition over cesar bc at the end of the day you can always get another boyfriend but they can’t get another one of each other. and don’t even get me started on olivia single-handedly dispelling monse’s fears of not being a “girl’s girl” bc of her absent mother, dismissing the fact that you need to be traditionally feminine to be have strong female relationships. fuck every show that has teenage girls always squabbling give me more monse and olivia, opposites on the surface but who love and support each other unconditionally. other shows ain’t shit.

Unpopular opinion: straight people using “partner” to refer to their SO actually helps normalize the term so that lgbt folx can use it without automatically outing themselves to strangers. It also helps other straight ppl get comfortable with the fact that strangers aren’t entitled to information about other people’s gender or sexuality.
