Introduction
Hello! This (first) post will be quite different from the others, but it is a necessary evil; therefore let's jump in!
So what's this anyway?
Simply put: it's an exhaustive list of books, movies and other pieces of media I want to read, watch, play or listen to. A TBR (to be read) list; a bucket list of media if you will.
It's centred a bit more around "classics" ("modern classics" included) than recent stuff, although there will be quite a few exceptions.
How does it work?
If you’re expecting a consistent schedule- don’t. The posting rate will be extremely inconsistent, and the quality of said posting just as variable.
I will, however, try to update the List (TM) regularly and β€” if life allows me β€” post maybe bimonthly recaps of how it (the List) changed and evolved.
I’m also willing to make lists of recommendations for those who it may interest!
Why are you doing this??
Honestly? To help motivate myself. I find that having a way to let people know what you’re doing helps in finishing it. Like just- talking about it. It's silly but hey, isn't that one of the reasons we're all on social media in the first place?
It’s also a way for me to potentially share and promote media I liked, and in return expend my cultural and literary/cinematographic/game/podcast/etc. knowledge!
What are the requirements?
None! Well, almost-
The only real thing that can stop a piece of media from being put on the List(TM) is if it’s not available one way or another in English (or French)
Or if I feel like it doesn’t belong on there for whatever reason
About me (if you’re interested)
Hi. I’m- Well, you can call me Siren or Wynn; I use He/Him and Xe(y)/Xem/Xyr* pronouns and I am currently in my teenage years.
I’m native in French and fluent in English, I also vaguely understand/speak German. And I study both Latin and Ancient Greek because of course I do.
My casual blog is @some-siren but please don’t go there; it’s not anything interesting
*the (y) means I use both Xe/Xem/Xyr and Xey/Xem/Xyr
