— It took Prototype a second to register what was said, their system still being a tad slow. Though he soon got excited once it was registered it was Scag.

— They nodded, quickly hurrying up behind Pest. The metal making small thuds against the ground as he walked.

— As they walked behind the humanoid beetle, a small, barely even noticeable bit of black smoke was coming out of a vent on the back of Prototype. Good for the parasite infecting him that he was behind Pest.

-> Footsteps echoed through the abandoned factory, a voice cutting through the silence. "Prototype! Where is that little bot..." - @rotten-pesticide

— All that could be heard was of the few machineries still left powered on, and the humming of the lights that lit up the abandoned place. Surely he would've responded by now..

— But no, they were sat on the ground, leaning up against a small generator which gave the place bits of power, completely powered down.

— He put his faceplate back on, being just as careful as they were when taking it off. Making sure it slid into all the little slots.

"It is here, don't worry! I know this factory really well, so it'll be easy getting there!"

— All that could be heard was of the few machineries still left powered on, and the humming of the lights that lit up the abandoned place. Surely he would've responded by now..

— But no, they were sat on the ground, leaning up against a small generator which gave the place bits of power, completely powered down.

— Prototype nodded, being quiet now. Pest was pissed, so it's understandable, and they honestly didn't really mind much.

— He was right though, sound files shouldn't be causing so much mess. Maybe if they were direct, but these were only miscellaneous.

"Is that all that looks wrong? Nothing else?"

— Good thing he didn't need to move his mouth to talk, his voice box working fine.

— The files were just some miscellaneous ones, mainly of small things Prototype had downloaded himself via internet. It was really just sound files, so not much damage luckily.

— Though, that's all it was. Just a few corrupted sound files, but that didn't make any sense. Small files like those shouldn't slow down the android's entire system.

— There were a few, small corrupt files, evidence of some type of virus. That's odd, Prototype never got viruses, they had a great Anti-Malware system in place to prevent that. For something to slip by like this really could mean something much more serious.

— Though, other than the few corrupted files, nothing inherently malicious was noticeable.

"Got it!"

— They fidgeted with his faceplate before being able to take it off, making sure to be careful as to not damage it. Beneath, shiny metal plating could be seen in good condition.

— He held his faceplate in their hands, opening up their mouth for Pest.

— As they stood up, the fans whirred more for a few seconds before returning back to somewhat normal.

"Wouldn't my system detect if something was wrong? It would let me know if there was!"

"I'm not sure? I was just powered in sleep mode, and my system just shut down.."

— His responses were still a bit slow, the fans as well still a bit loud but they have quite down compared to before. It was like as if his entire system was being slow.

"I don't really know anything other than that.."

— Their system was always fully optimized, so it being slow like this, even just a bit, is even more strange.

— It took him a second, but the android soon nodded, smiling from seeing the humanoid insect. Though their smile did drop from seeing how pissed he is.

"I am! Are you okay, Pest?.."

— It was taking a bit longer than usual for him to boot back up, a bit of a slow boot up.. The fans, too, were being a bit loud, which is unusual to say the least.

— Though after a bit, the backlights for his eyes finally lit up. Their system was running again!

— After a few seconds, the fans from inside of the bot started back up, a soft whirring being made from them. Alright, that's a good sign! Now he just has to wait for everything to boot back up.

— Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, it looked fine, actually. Everything was in its place as it should be, just how had Pest left it last time he checked.

— Just how could they have powered down, then?

— It doesn't look like there was anyone here, the factory being usually a bit messy. Not even on him physically from what could be seen without taking anything apart looked to be tampered with.
