"No One Ever Made A Difference By Being Like Everyone Else" - PT Barnum. Writer, artist, pianist, photographer & all round creative soul. Just started learning to sing and I hope one day to learn to tap dance like my hero : HUGH JACKMAN. DECEMBER 2017 I first saw THE GREATEST SHOWMAN & had my 'heart' well & truly stolen by the loveliest, most down to earth person on the planet: HUGH MICHAEL JACKMAN. MAY 24TH 2019 I saw him in person in Piccadilly Gardens. MAY 25TH 2019 I got lucky enough to meet him outside the Manchester Arena & he got the sketch/letter I'd made. Next time I'll get to talk to him.

I love this and it makes me laugh so much. He just completely loses all ability to keep singing and then when he turns around the crowd goes even more crazy like I don't blame them, it's a nice view 😉, and he totally plays on it. I mean it's all so 'Peter Allen' but I love how he can just lose it like that and just laugh at himself. He's just up there having so much fun and I love how human and down to earth he is. #imayberamblingatthispoint #oops #justlovethisguysomuch

From loving son to devoted father, Hugh Jackman learnt everything he knows about being a man and being a father from his own dad the very awesome Christopher Jackman. Hugh tells the story of how once he was performing at Carneige Hall and had mistakenly told his dad (who flew half way around the world just to support him) that it was black tie not business casual. Even when corrected Chris still wore black tie because for him nothing less was good enough for his son of whom he was incredibly proud and wanted to be sure the whole world knew that or at least on that occasion the audience at Carneige Hall. Why shouldn't Chris be proud?? He's raised an amazing son who is not only amazingly talented but such a kind, compassionate, gentle hearted down to earth man who's own family are his absolute world and who is huge inspiration to so many people because of those things and more. He is a true credit to his dad for the way he's raised him and the values he's instilled in him that help make him the wonderful person that he is. Values and gifts I’m sure are reflected in the way he is a such an amazing father to his own children. Hugh is certainly lucky to have been raised by such a grounded, loving man and Chris is lucky to have such an amazing son to be so quite rightly proud off. You're both amazing people and I want to wish you both a wonderful Father’s Day because you both deserve it.

When life imitates art. That moment when you realise that the audience are up on their feet & all the cheers & the applause are just for you & you stand there drinking it all in with a feeling of great relief & pride almost like you can't believe it's real like 'yes!! I actually did it, they love me'. Every time I saw Hugh stop like this at the show it reminded me of that moment at the end of Come Alive when Barnum realises he's made the circus a success. Truly life imitating art.

After being lucky enough to see Hugh in Piccadilly Gardens on Friday i was like that’s it I’ve had my lucky break. There’s nothing that can top that. Then this happened. The next day, with some friends, I got back to the arena early enough to catch Hugh arriving for the Saturday matinee show. As soon as he saw us he came straight over to sign autographs. Despite saying his name and touching his arm I didn’t manage to get his attention. Not surprising when the dude has a foot of height on me lol but I did manage to get some good pictures. It felt incredible just to be that close to him even if separated by a metal gate and he truly is as adorable and lovely as everyone says. The magic moment though came when my friend handed him the fan letter/card that I’d hand drawn and written for him. I’ve spent months working on the art for it and to actually be able to give it to him was amazing. I don’t know if he’ll ever get to read it or I’ll ever find out what he thought of the cover art but it’s enough that he has it. Like my friend said he has a part of me with him now and that’s special. Seeing him was amazing but meeting him even for a second was truly a dream come true. Maybe you can get lucky twice.

That magic moment when you happen to hear a familiar voice and happen to look up and..... Come face to face with your hero. At first I was like it can't possibly be him??? I'm not that lucky but it was. I'd literally just sat down to lunch and just happened to be in the right place at the right time and if he hadn't spoken I never would have known he was there. The crazy thing is i'd only been joking with my friend the other day that I'd head to Piccadilly Gardens on the off chance that I'd run into him as he's been out and about everywhere on his bike. You know the sort of thing I'd dreamed of happening to me since I got the tickets but never in my wildest dreams did I expect it to actually happen. But it did. He was only there long enough for the guy with him to snap his photo for his Insta story so I only managed to get a few photos and even if I didn't get to talk to him I'm super happy just to have been where he was even for those few fleeting moments. The only thing that topped it was the three phenomenal hours I spent sharing an arena with him at his show. But still it was a very special moment and yes I've been shameless telling anyone who listens. I don't care it was all my million dreams come true in a day and I get to do it all again tomorrow. Maybe I can get lucky enough to give you the card I made at the show tomorrow @thehughjackman??? #hj #hughjackman #tmtmts #datewithahero #themanthemusictheshow #daymade #dreamcometrue

Can’t believe that in just a few days I’m going to get to ‘hang out’ with this guy not once but twice. Still feel like pinching myself because it doesn’t seem real. There’s already so many things I’m looking forward to seeing: The songs from the Showman (obviously), the tap dancing, the piano playing, the hilarious fun that’s gonna be ‘Peter Allen’. But more than that I’m especially looking forward to him singing Tenterfield Saddler (because I love it) and You Will Be Found (because for the longest time I was that kid who felt invisible and alone and I really relate to that song). I’m not someone who cries easily at songs but I think I may just end up doing when I hear HJ sing these (& a few others) for real. This weekend is seriously going to be the best two days of my life; I’m giddy now and we’re still days away; so god help me then lol I may actually faint when this guy walks out on stage. This is just a little something I penned for @thehughjackman to say how much going to the show means to me that i thought I’d share even if he doesn’t end up seeing it.

Haven’t seen this live yet (I’m going on Friday) just clips but it looks super amazing yet when I tell my friends at work they just fail to understand how incredible it is. thunderstruck is not an easy or slow song to start with (I know I tried playing it on piano once) so to tap dance to it makes Hugh a tap legend for pulling it off. But they just don’t get what an achievement it is.
Tbh seeing Hugh Jackman tapdance with AC/DCs Thunderstruck as the music will probs ever stay one of the peak moments of my entire fucking life

As someone who’s not going to see him until May 24 I am in full agreement with this ☝️. Had to stop looking online on opening night because of all the video clips that were being posted. Pictures are fine but I really want to experience every second of the magic properly on the night and didn’t want things spoiled.
My fellow Hugh fans. You know I LOVE that ya’ll are posting about his the man the music the show tour because MAGICAL!!! and we LOVE this Hugh fandom OF COURSE!! but there are some of us that won’t get to see him for a bit and are trying to have the show be mostly a surprise, so with that said - for those posting about his tour, can you please tag your spoilers with #tmtmts spoilers so that those of us who don’t want to see content now can filter! I have seen some of you already doing this but just trying to spread the word - thank you!!

I’ve been living off this film for the last nearly 15 months and could still quite easily just watch it over and over so no it’ll never get old and I’ll never get bored of it.
