I finally convinced Grumpy the Turtwig to give me my shoe back!

She still hasn't told me her name, though.

And she's following me around for some reason.

So I came downstairs for some breakfast, and noticed Colress and N were at the computer again.

At first, I thought they'd woken up early to play that game, but going off how sheepish they looked, especially when I mentioned that I didn't notice Colress getting up, I don't think they went to bed at all!

The power of games with mathematics is strong, it seems.

N doesn’t want his photo taken, so I don't have a picture or anything, but Colress is showing him this computer game and you should've seen the way the kid's eyes LIT UP when he realised there was mathematics involved!

They're currently crowded around the computer, taking turns playing it.

Just asking, but what is N's diet like as of now?

Sorry if that sounds so out of the blue, but like, considering what we know of his upbringing, I'm worried that he could have ended up with a number of nutritional deficiencies in case some sort of strict diet was forced upon him. Furthermore, a shift in diet is also not good (then again, I'm not sure how long N's been under the care of Grimsely and Colress, so maybe he's already gotten used to it or they've already adapted to what N's familiar with eating).

On a slightly related note, anything N is allergic to or needs to refrain from eating? Along with Grimsely and Colress too? Asking on the behalf of those who may want to give any snacks through these asks (I know someone may have sent a book through these once, and sometimes the urge to give a cookie or a batch is strong)

From what we can tell, his diet was strict, but not so strict that it caused nutritional deficiencies. He tends to avoid sweets and fizzy drinks, but enjoys fruit and baked goods.

N was initially pretty unsure about eating when we first picked him up, but I think that’s a side-effect of his upbringing making it hard for him to trust people outside of a select group, rather than typical food aversions. He's got a big appetite now, though, but only eats something not prepared in the house (like that pizza we had, or donuts bought at a bakery) if we eat it first.

So he can be rather untrusting of "Outside food", only deeming it safe to eat if we try it first.

We did notice that he seemed to be suffering from a vitamin D deficiency, but thankfully that's no longer the case now. Although it's present in some foods, he was kept inside of a castle for most of his life, which meant no sunlight exposure.

I hope his sisters aren't suffering from it, too.

I noticed that N tends to avoid peanuts, but I think it's more to do with the taste and smell, rather than allergies. He likes hazelnuts, though.

Regarding Grim and I, we have no allergies. N, on the other hand, seems to have a mild citrus allergy, which can be a bit of an issue because he likes oranges.
