opinion on true love: I don’t think he holds opinions such a true love close to heart or anything, it’s just about believing in the one you love to him. That’s all there is to it.

opinion on love at first sight: I don’t think he believes in it, but not for a conscious decision. He just doesn’t think about it as it hasn’t happened to him.

how ‘romantic’ are they?: Not very, I mean even in canon he seemed completely obvious to how Maki felt. So I take from that he doesn’t think much. One of his lines, after Maki has expressed interest in him, is to ask Shuichi if he and her was making out while he was gone. At best he probably think about relationships as more of a “they are together” than anything deeper.

ideal physical traits: He doesn’t have any in particular I’d think.

ideal personality traits: Confident people, as long as someone is confident in what they believe that is a plus to him.

unattractive physical traits: Ghost/occult aesthetics is a no-deal to him really.

Misconception: Kaito is a dumbass

send me a misconception you think people have about my character and I’ll explain if it’s true or not. / accepting

I mean, I can see where people come from when they say this because that frankly he kind of is. I’m not going to say he is an idiot by any means, I’ve mentioned it in hcs/posts before that he is certainly intelligent. But being knowledgeable wasn’t really what brought him as far as he got, it was that he decided that taking a big risk was worth it. Had he not broken the law and lied about age and such, he’d not been able to take that astronaut test when he did. Sure knowledge helped a lot, but only so much.What helped him was that he took a risk by breaking the law. A stupid risk.

It probably doesn’t help that he has a lot of moments in the game where he let his emotions get the better of him, trusting his gut before his mind. I’m sure that had he been a more callous/uncaring person he’d be much more useful for class trials. He’d be able to properly investigate stuff and figure out when people lied.But instead, he trusts his guts, going with the flow and deciding it’s better to trust than be cynical.

But it makes him come off as a dumbass, especially since like. He almost never gets to use anything from his talent that’d prove otherwise. Which is sad in a sense, but yeah.

While he was excited for the special day, cool monsters and free candy. What is not to like? He had even voiced his excitement on multiple occasions, despite that the astronaut wasn’t really found outside the dorms.

It all really came down to things like the haunted house and other ‘attractions’ being quite a bit more...spooky than he could handle. Which had made him eventually just return to his dorms feeling far from satisfied with the day. But rather that than going near any of the spooks. It didn’t help he was sure that Kokichi was going to try and jump out from some hiding spot to scare him.

After the last chase, he was a bit more on guard. It had taken him too long to get his slipper back last time. So, of course, he had this time around at least spotted the goose. And now they were just staring at each other, both standing ground and not really doing much. He might’ve tried to chase it away, but you weren’t really supposed to do that with geese.

This decision he was one he immediately regretted upon the sudden honking. He stumbled backwards, thinking he was going to be attacked for a second.

“AH!” And during that short moment of panic, the goose grabbed his slippers. He swore to himself as he hastily pushed himself up from the ground.

“Come back here!” God he was going to have to take a second chase with this goose, he was already a bit exhausted from last time. And a few rocks in his feet didn’t exactly motivate him any further. Maybe he should just ask Maki or Tenko for help?
