A sample of my writing. :) Always seeking a Kara Danvers for future roleplays. Please DM me if you’re interested. ♥
Apparently, Lena Luthor was never allowed to have a quiet day at work. She has tried everything to relax, but every time she was able to close her eyes at her desk for five whole minutes, something else would have gone wrong. Even the coffee pot in her office was starting to rebel against her efforts as she wrestled with today’s events. “Come on! Work for me you piece of shit. There were cell phone processors back in the 90s that worked faster than you do.” Her insults against the machine were futile as the Keurig decided to stop pouring almost immediately after she spoke.
“No, no, no.” Lena mumbled frantically as she smacked the side of it. The damned thing had jammed up again. She really needed to get a new one, but even a genius settled for the basics at times. “Don’t force me to take you apart and put you back together again,” she threatened quietly as she fiddled with a few knobs and buttons. She takes the back of the Keurig where the water was placed and cleans it out, hoping that was the initial issue. A sigh escaped her as she tried again, pressing the second button to get it working.
She can hear it rumbling, heating the water once and before she knows it, she can hear the pour and smell the delicious aroma of dark roasted coffee. Really… that was the issue? Lena rolled her eyes. After she prepares her cup, she pats the machine gently as a little thank you for cooperating. At least Kara will be coming to visit for lunch today. It has been a while since they had last seen each other, but she knew that the adorable blonde was going to be prodding her for a good story to write. Kara was a fantastic writer that much was sure and she enjoyed time with her regardless.
Lena sits down at her desk and pulls one of the drawers to grab a folder that was unmarked except with a government insignia at the bottom left hand corner. She sits her mug down and begins to flip through it, knowing exactly what the contents were about. It was information regarding a high tech mobile weapon at the highest proportions that not only has cloaking technology for stealth military missions, but a tracking system that is beyond anything Lena has seen. It is fitting though, since she was the one who created it.
Casually, she takes the letter tucked away inside one of the pouches and begins reading through it. It was the leader of the United States Department of Defense and Homeland Security commenting on how dire it was to keep everything she has done for them on a downlow. She didn’t know what they were planning, though. Lena never bothered to really ask about why they recruited her into making such a machine, but it was in their hands now. She never trusted politicians, but if their plans had anything to do with keeping the people safe, she was capable of siding with them no matter how slimy she thought they were.
