warframe x warhammer 40k fic idea/outline: mia & clarissa's cross-galactic road trip

Mia is a Tenno who wound up in 40k at the opening of the Great Rift, nearly inside it. She's on the outskirts of a system with one planet that is steadily being overrun with weird monsters. By the time she manages to land on the planet, there is only one survivor:

Clarissa is a Battle Sister of the now-extinct Order of the Gilded Deed, stranded on Intrare Primus as Chaos overwhelms it. Despite her skill and tenacity, the civilians she was protecting are long dead, and now she fights only to spit in the eye of Chaos.

Mia lands and rescues Clarissa, only to find out that she is extremely paranoid and xenophobic, and keeps trying to kill Mia. and failing. Clarissa's no threat to her, though, and she'd rather not kill the person she just saved, so Clarissa remains alive and unharmed, much to her confusion.

at some point, after they've trekked through a few ruined systems and came across yet another in the throes of disaster, Clarissa decides that it would be better to actually do something than sit around moping because Mia won't let her just die.

and that's where the plot kicks off

a tenno winds up in 40k right about when the great rift opens, rescues a sister of battle from a chaos incursion and. well. cue a bunch of murder attempts by clarissa (the sister of battle) (this is met with mild exasperation by mia(the tenno))

anyway they eventually wind up being friends by virtue of clarissa not really having anyone to talk to besides mia and mia being pretty friendly + promising to take clarissa to talk to the emperor to get his opinion on whether or not she's actually damned.

and then they start getting up to Shenanigans on their cross-galactic road trip to chat with Big E

when the trans woman expresses a desire to have large breasts, the transmisogynist will respond in one of two ways.

the overt transmisogynist will likely demean her as some sick pervert, basing her idea of femininity off of the body types preferred by pornography/the patriarchy/what have you. you'll see this in terfs, in open fascists, i.e. bioessentialist circles. the argument that such trans women are, in fact, perverted men, reveals this as a permutation of the 'deceptive transsexual' stereotype. ¹

in contrast, the more subtle transmisogynist will adhere to the other of the two stereotypes. A trans woman who expresses a desire for large breasts in such circles will be instead met with patronizing words by the group - reprimands to the tune of, "Oh, honey, you don't want that! Just think of the back pain!" are perhaps the most common form of this. This form of transmisogyny often stems from those coercively assigned female at birth leveraging that social role as proof of possessing a proximity to femininity that the trans woman could not possibly have. She is considered new to misogyny - if they admit she faces it at all. Such transmisogyny appears most often in supposedly 'queer' social spaces - those where the only conception of 'top surgery' is that of the transmasculine.
