Bad idea for a Romantic Comedy The Chief of Police is married to a Mob Boss, and they have to keep “just failing” to catch each other. When one of them hits the other in a shootout, it’s followed with “Oh I’m never going to hear the end of this…”
“So how was your day at work?” “YOU FUCKING SHOT ME! THAT WAS MY DAY AT WORK!”

Wyatt shook his head glancing at the newest message, of course she didn’t remember him. It didn’t truly surprise him. With a sigh, the teen put his phone into the pocket of his jeans and grabbed his black leather jacket from his desk chair. “Here’s to hoping I come back.” Wyatt grabbed the box off his bed and moved toward his window. There was no way he was going to use the front door this late or with the box in his hands. M&M and David would have a million questions.
So with the ornate box tucked under his arm, the teen climbed out his bedroom window on to the fire escape. At least he wouldn’t have to take that history test tomorrow if he didn’t come home. He scoffed at his own line of thinking.
The teen made it across Storybrooke in record time, his whole body on alert for anything that could possibly happen. He stood where Regina had told them to meet and waited. He could have left the box but that would have been taking the cowards way out. Something Wyatt Swan was not.
“Swan!” A voice he did not want hear at the moment called out to him. “What are you doing down here mate...and with our box? Holy hell, you got the box.” Killian said with a laugh of disbelief as he approached. Killian knew this area, knew whose market this was. “You haven’t done anything stupid now have you?”
“No.” Wyatt told him shortly. “I’ve done the opposite actually.”
“And what exactly would that be?” Killian asked. “Seems pretty stupid if you’re here for the reason, I think. Giving the box back instead of giving it to me.”

Wyatt held her as she cried, one hand rubbing her back as soothingly as possible while his other hand cradled the back of her head. He listened as she spoke, the taste of copper coating the inside of his mouth. Why did these things always have to happen to Emma? “Ems....” Wyatt’s voice was soft--a tone only three people ever got to hear. “We tell him that his father died saving you. He doesn’t need the details even though he will want them, we keep it simple.” The man decided to focus on that question first. Everything else would wait until they were alone, there was no way he was going to have Emma bare her soul anymore than she already had with people present. “I am so sorry...” He knew the words couldn’t make anything better but he meant them.
the-other-swan:
mrsemmacassidy:
Emma just stared at where the portal had just been a few moments and where Neal had let go of her hand.  She was in shock not only because she believed she had just seen Neal die but because of the words he told her before he died. He loved her. She got up from the ground and started walking to the apartment because she needed to see Wyatt, she needed her brother to tell er it was going to be okay. As she came in the apartment everybody stared at her.
snow stepped closer to her aksing Where’s Neal”, Emma looked at Wyatt while she answered Snow “He’s gone, Tamara killed him. “ Then Emma just went and hugged Wyatt.
@the-other-swan
Wyatt grabbed his twin and held her tight. One hand rested securely on her back while the other went to run through Emma’s long hair. He kissed the side of her head, and sighed deeply. Sure he wasn’t Neal’s biggest fan, but that didn’t mean he liked seeing his sister in pain–especially from something like this. Wyatt blocked out the rest of the world, ignoring Snow’s pressing questions and the way David was looking at the twins.
He moved his head down so his words would hit Emma’s ear, “It may not seem like it right now…but it is going to be okay. Someday, it will be okay.” He pressed another kiss to her head. Not asking what exactly had happened, knowing Emma would tell him when she was ready. “I’ve got you…”
Emma’s body relaxed as soon as Wyatt pulled her into a tight hug.   She snuggled into his shoulder and finally started really crying. Emma continued to sniffle into his shoulder. She stopped crying and decided to ignore everyone else and told Wyatt what happened. “Tamara shot him and I was fighting her off but she had a magic bean and she threw it. I had to jump up to make sure I didn’t go through and Neal grabbed me and then the floor gave way. So I was holding him up. I asked him not to let go Wyatt. Because he was shot so no matter where he went he would die. He told me to not let Henry grow up the way we did and I told him then don’t let go.  He told me that Henry needed me, so I told him that I needed him and that I loved him. he told me he loved me too and then he let go. And I couldn’t do anything. How am I supposed to tell Henry?” Emma asked her brother looking at him.

Wyatt dropped his bag near the front door once he had reached the porch, one hand already reaching for the offered beer. “A pain in my ass,” Wyatt joked as he sat beside Neal popping off the top. “I caught them, but I swear if we hadn’t grown up the way we did, I wouldn’t have been able to.” He took a healthy swig of his drink, leaning back in the chair a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips, “Yeah, I got him something. Always do. I’m much smarter than people give me credit for.”
The blond’s eyes searched the man next to him, taking in every detail; tense shoulders, forced pleasantries...something was up.
“What happened?” Wyatt asked not even attempting to be stubel. There was no use really.
Revelations
the-other-swan:
It had been a long day and all Wyatt truly wanted was to take a shower, have a beer, and spend some time with his family. The man had been working as a bounty hunter for the last month, it was stressful work and tiring for sure. But the paydays were worth it. They allowed Wyatt to take care of his family–family a term only in the last few years he had truly started to accept.
Wyatt pulled up into the driveway of their small home, sighing as he got out. He spotted Neal on the porch and gave a tired smile, “Tell me you have one of those for me…” Wyatt joked as he started the walk to the front porch.
Tumblr media
Neal had been lost in his own “Baelfire” thoughts when he heard Wyatt’s voice.   “Oh, Hey Wyatt. Yeah, here you go.” Neal told him hading the other beer he had brought out with him to Emma’s brother. Neal was’t sure if he should jump right in or if he should ease into it.  He htought that since Wyatt had been gone a month, he should ease into it.
“So How was work? Catch all the Good  bad guys?” Neal asked as she took a sip of his beer. “I hope you broutht somethng back for Henry becuase he’s been talking abou it all week.”

After Wyatt had sent the text messages, he had stood and begun to pace. The blonds fingers drummed on his thighs as he moved back and forth along side his bed. Every possible outcome flashing in his mind of what Regina would say and do. The teen nearly jumped out of his skin when his phone alerted him to new incoming messages. He scrambled to pull his phone back out of his pocket.
If circumstances were different in this moment, he probably would have smirked at the sass radiating from the first message--classical Regina Mills. But in this moment, even in written formate, her words sent a chill down his spine. That was before he had even read the next warning message. “No shit. I figured that one,” Wyatt muttered to himself.
{text to: Regina Mills} I know I need to return what I have. That’s why I messaged you.
Honest was working so far, why not keep going with it?
{text to: Regina Mills} Haven’t looked inside the box. Only took it to shut Jones up, you remember Killian Jones right? Freshman your senior year.
Now for the more complicated questions. Wyatt wasn’t sure answering them would help and prayed his theory of Regina knowing what he had done for her was true.
{text to Regina Mills} This is Wyatt Swan...got your number from a friend.
Thieves Code (Wyatt/Regina)
Regina had just finished with some of the costumers when the phone in her pocket buzzed.  She rolled her eyes, sighing because she knew that it had to be her mother.  Cora was always getting in the way, pushy, and controlled every move she made.  Even when she helped with things at night, her status didn’t always make things easier.  She was touch, but she wanted to more of a leader than someone’s right hands.
Another sigh came as she pulled the phone out of her pocked, unlocked it to see the message. There were two things that went through her mind as she read the messages: 1-who was the person and 2-how the hell did they get her number. Regina tapped the message box and replied.
“Who the hell is this and how did you get my number?” She spoke aloud to herself as she put the words on the screen.  Her eyebrows rose when he mentioned that there was something of hers that he had, that made her more annoyed.  No one steals from her.  She moved her fingers quickly, sending him a warning that he will return what is hers or he was going to have problems.

My Idiot...those two words sent his heart into a pounding rage and he could wipe the smile off his face even if he tried. The two had been dancing around for awhile but Wyatt was happy with it, it made them...well them. Again Wyatt chuckled imaging Regina attempting to constantly deal with the townspeople of Storybrooke for longer than a town meeting or meeting in her office. “I think the best bet would be you working as Mayor. Don’t really feel like investigating on a homicide,” Wyatt joked with her.
Tumblr media
“So bad huh?” He leaned a little closer to her, “I promise to be on my best behavior Madame Mayor.”
the-other-swan:
Wyatt chuckled, “Hey, I will take those few times when it isn’t me that’s upset you and I’m not acting like an idiot…” Your idiot, the blonde added on inside his head. He groaned as he listened to what all her day entailed, “Yeah, no thanks. I will take my day of riding around in the police cruiser and stopping the small crimes we have here over doing paperwork.” He teases. “What is our busy mayor up to tonight? We could go get a few drinks or I could buy us dinner at the diner. Not as good as your cooking, I know, but still it means you wouldn’t have to go home and cook.”
Tumblr media
“My idiot.” She corrected with a little smirk on her face. His groan had her smiling as she replies. “Just as I’d rather be in in my cozy office dealing with the town’s idiots via paperwork instead of having to see it up close and personal all the time.” She’d rather deal with them when they had an appointed time to see her and she could happily kick them out when they pissed her off.  “Hmm I had planned on a glass of wine and a salad as I catch up on a few shows but I suppose dinner with you wouldn’t be so bad.”

Thieves Code (Wyatt/Regina)
@reginaqueenmills
Wyatt sat on his bed, his bottom lip between his teeth and hands fidgeting nervously as he stared at the ornate wooden box in front of him. Why had he done this? Did he truly have something to prove to Jones and his gang or was it for another reason, the teen wasn’t sure of the answer. All Wyatt knew was that he had screwed up and soon he would have to answer for it.
“What have I done?” The blond whispered to himself.
Tumblr media
The wooden box belonged to the most dangerous family of the small town of Storybrooke, Maine--the Mills family. On the surface they were the perfect family, one normal people aspired to be. They used the port to import and export expensive items-- rare artifacts mainly. They only occasionally dealt with what typical mob families touched-- drugs, human trafficking, etc.
The matriarch was Cora Mills, a woman most feared. By day she was the mayor, by night an unforgiving woman that would take the life of any who crossed her or her family. She had built the town up, using her night work to fund everything.
Henry Mills, Cora’s husband, was a gentler man. His family was the one with money. The Mills were part of the founding families that had started Storybrooke back in the 1800 hundreds as a port town. Before Cora had been Mayor, Henry’s father had been mayor just as his father before him had been. Politics weren’t Henry’s thing, the man helped run the family estate and stables. He didn’t particularly like what his wife did at night, but he was uncomfortable to ever say anything.
Their oldest daughter, Zelena Mills, was the most cutthroat attorney Storybrooke had ever seen. The redhead had graduated Storybrooke High as valedictorian and head of the debate team.  Zelena had gone directly to Yale University where she then graduated in the top ten of her class. Following her mother’s dream to the T. Everyone knew she helped in her mother’s endeavors, aiding in anyway she could and making sure no criminal charges were ever filed or talked about.
Their youngest daughter, Regina Mills, was tough as nails and a force you did not want to cross. Regina had also graduated valedictorian, head cheerleader, and president of their class. She was beautiful beyond words with a tongue sharper than knives. The brunette’s mind was calculated just as her mother’s was. She had left for college but returned shortly after when her father’s health had faltered. During the day she was working at the market near the port while at night she was Cora’s right hand woman.
Wyatt, though, didn’t see Regina as the next big crime lord of the port city. He’d met Regina as a freshman in high school while she was in her senior year, had the largest crush on her, his friends--what few he had--making it clear that it would never happen. That didn’t stop him from going out of his way to make sure any trouble she or her ‘boyfriend’ might have gotten into got blamed on him. By the month of graduation, Wyatt was sure Regina knew what he was doing. She actually acknowledged his existence against Robin’s wishes. But that was just part of his life. People either ignored him, pitied him, or took the time to find out who he truly was.
Wyatt was a foster child--teen. He had been moved from home to home over the years until Mary-Margaret Blanchard-Nolan and her husband David Nolan. An elementary school teacher and the head of the animal shelter, two people who went to church every sunday, believed in family dinners, and went all out for holidays, people who saw the world as black and white but generally always saw the good in others. It had been taken Wyatt awhile to adapt his freshman year of high school when he was placed with them, he still had issues with them at times but it had gotten better.
Wyatt wasn’t like them however. He saw the world in shades of grey, believed in a higher power but not that of the preachings from the church, and truly believed not all rules were made to be followed. It had gotten him into trouble more than once--with the school and the town sheriff. This was just an example of him being the rebel he was.
Killian Jones, another teen in his senior class, had gotten to him--pushed him until Wyatt could either fight back with words or his fists. Words had been his choice. The two had once been friends before Killian decided popularity was more important than friendship. Killian’s popularity though wasn’t because of sports or clubs, it was from his ruthlessness and enjoyment of the darker things in life, such as gangs. Even for a small town, the teens had them. Either way, their argument had ended in a challenge--something Wyatt could never walk away from. A challenge to break into the Mills warehouse on the docks and steal a certain artifact that Mr. Gold--the antiques dealer of Storybrooke--had told Jones he would pay a nice price for if received.
So here Wyatt sat with the box in front of him knowing it was a matter of time before Jones or the Mills paid him a visit. The blond pulled his phone from his pocket scrolling through his contacts until he landed on a name he had never called or even text--Regina Mills. It was a number Ruby, one of his best friends, had given him toward the end of their freshman year as a joke. She knew Wyatt would never use it, made it clear he never would, but gave it to him anyway. Three years later and he hadn’t deleted the number.
With shaky hands, he typed out a text.

Wyatt gave a short dry chuckle, “Oh it will...” Even if he had to drag Emma out of Storybrooke and back to Boston it would work out. He just had to get there to calm Emma down and try to make peace with this kids mom. The blond just hoped he wasn’t too late. He saw the way his daughter’s lips pursed, saw the gears turning in her head, but Wyatt didn’t push. She would tell him with time what was on her mind.
Wyatt carefully analyzed her face as Olivia turned back to him. He knew she wouldn’t lie to him, knew she was more than capable of dealing with the drama that was about to befall them, but still as her father he worried. “Alright, I just wanted to double check. I didn’t want to leave you with Amanda anyway. Long trip by myself? No thanks.” He smirked playfully.
The rest of the drive to her school was spent listening to the radio, he pulled into one of the front parking spaces. “Alright, let’s drop that homework off and let them know you won’t be here today because of a little family emergency. In and out, back on the road in no time.” He said while turning off the car. School was not his favorite thing, but he had made sure Olivia did well in her studies and was able to achieve more than he ever had. It would open more doors for her in the future. That didn’t mean, however, that he like dealing with the school staff and explaining that he needed to keep Olivia home so they could take a trip to Maine to bail his sister out of trouble.

Dr. Porter glanced up from her clipboard with a smile, “That’s really good Liv.” She wrote down a few more things, “If everything seems to be working then I would suggest keeping up your routines and medications. If anything changes just give us a call and we will work her in. Otherwise, we will see you both in three months.” She told Wyatt.
The man gave Olivia a soft smile, “See. Not a bad trip.” He told her gently. “Why don’t you give that back to Dr. Porter so we can head up front to check out.” He lifted Olivia off the table so she could stand once more on the floor. He waited for her to give Dr. Porter the stethoscope back, then opened the door so they could head back down the hall. “Thank you, Dr. Porter.”
“Of course, it’s always a pleasure to see you both.”

Wyatt studied the girl for a moment, he didn’t want to get the kid in trouble with the Mayor. But if Riley was willing to risk a lecture then so was he. Wyatt grabbed the room key before taking a few steps toward her, “Well then, let’s get out of this room and grab some food.” He gave her a welcoming smile. He was still nervous around this kid and Henry, but she wanted to talk and he was going to listen. “You like milkshakes right?” He asked as they stepped out of the room and Wyatt locked the room door behind them.

Revelations
Guest Muse Neal:
Neal was freaking out. Well, the Baelfire that has been happy for the last few years with Wyatt, Emma, and Henry was freaking out. But he left Baelfire behind a long time ago even before he met Emma, Baelfire was over and Neal Cassidy was born.
He didn’t know who the hell the Pinnochio or August guy was and how he knew who Neall really was. But he knew a lot about him and what surprised him more was who Emma and Wyatt really were and why they had been alone all their lives. Well, August was supposed to stay with him but he had “temptations.” Whatever the hell that means.
So Now Neal was waiting for Wyatt to get back to talk to him.He figured it would be better to talk to Wyatt first. So he was waiting on the porch drinking a beer while Emma was inside giving Henry a bath and putting him to bed.

Wyatt chuckled, “Well you should have thought of that while you were sneaking out. Either you face her now or you face her later. She isn’t going to let a good lecture go.”
