can we like…get rid of the so-called leather and rubber “pride flags” ? it’s honestly ridiculous and offensive to the lgbtq community. those aren’t pride flags.

Da2 Varric is amazing because he basically gathered up this group of rag tag idiots and then went 'yep. I think they all need a sugar daddy' and then used his pretty extensive crime network (spy network? Something?) To make sure that each and every one of them was taken care of WITHOUT ANY OF THEM EVEN PROPERLY REALISING THATS WHAT HE WAS DOING (I don't think there's a single scene where he says in front of anyone other than Hawke that he's paying people off to keep away from Anders/Merrill/Fenris etc.) And then he's just like. 'Oh it's me! Your fun neighbour writer with a cool crossbow! Nothing to see here! Btw I covered all of your tabs in the tavern I live in full time despite being probably incredibly rich at this point' (what with the Deep Roads Expedition and the fact that he's out there writing popular serials he's probably got more money than Hawke who's got a mansion). And he checks in on them all under the guise of dropping by but makes it his mission to make them smile (Anders he talks about needing to do so more in particular but you can't tell me he doesn't do that for the rest of them) and then looks at Hawke and is like 'ill follow you wherever you want to go btw. My devotion knows no bounds. Youre in charge. I'm just a simple dwarf whos willing to fund all this madness and protect you when you need it'. And it's like. DUDE. DUDE. Your vibes are immaculate.

As of 12/8/21, Kellogg's has broken off negotiations with their striking union workers and is electing to permanently replace the strikers. So needless to say, don't support strike breaking: don't buy Kellogg's products. Besides breakfast cereals, Kellogg's makes Cheez-Its, Pringles, and owns Kashi. I'm sure there's more that I'm not aware of, so if the hive mind wants to add to the list, please do.
TL;DR Don't buy Kellogg's products

Anybody else have no idea how their personality is perceived by others? Like am I nice? Am I mean? I have no idea.

It’s come to my attention that a good portion of the younger generation has not been made aware of one of the greatest and most hated PILLARS of millennial society.
So I apologize, but I must take on this task. A new hand must touch the beacon. The knowledge must be passed on. The chain can not be broken.
So.
The Game.
The following are the rules of The Game:
there is no winning The Game
once you know of The Game, you are always playing the game
the point of The Game is to not think about The Game
if you think about The Game, you have lost The Game, and must announce this to those around you - causing them to also lose The Game
A “reset period” of roughly an hour or two before loss announcements is common in colloquial rules to allow yourself and those around you to properly temporarily “forget” about The Game, however that is not an official rule.
Go forth, you next generation, and I am sorry.

i know so many of us have been trained since a young age to be so accommodating as to fear ever expressing an opinion, but as we get older we need to understand that being “accommodating” to the point of total indecisiveness is a very uncomfortable way to go through life, for you AND those around you. it’s ok to have an opinion on something. it’s ok to make a decision. your friends won’t hate you if you’re the one to end the “where do you want to eat” “oh anywhere is fine with me” discussion by suggesting a restaurant. you’re not high maintenance if you say, “noon is more convenient for me” when someone asks you what time you want to hang out. make decisions, have opinions, be part of the planning process, understand that you’re not being inconvenient, you’re just contributing.
