I just got my hands on a copy of the Infinite Darkness comic and I am overwhelmed with thoughts and feelings so I’m here to yell

I’ve heard plenty of people discuss the way he’s swept directly from Pittsburgh to D.C. without a break but oh my god how RAGGED they ran him in Pittsburgh as well!! He’s constantly rushing from place to place and is the only agent in the area that knows how to handle a BOW attack (or even what a BOW *is*)

But like what got to me the most was when he overheard the distress call from the medical examiner’s office, where they first called in the “dead coming back to life”.. that face he makes and the way he quietly goes “not again..” to himself? OW 😭

The way it felt (to me at least!) was that from that second on he was in a mad rush to prevent Pittsburgh from becoming a second Raccoon City, and you can SEEEE how scared he is. Shouting quarantine protocols and directions to people that are hardly listening to him, trying to single-handedly keep an outbreak from happening while still hunting for the bad guys…

AND IN THE MIDST OF ALL THAT he finds time to visit that injured detective he barely knows MULTIPLE times in the hospital, and remembers the names of the other two guards from the museum and asks after their condition. Oh Leon……..

Yes yes exactly! This is (part of) why I love the comic so much! I completely agree with what you said about them running him ragged, and I especially like how it's depicted in the comic-- not only does he look tired but the comic takes place over multiple days and yet he's wearing the same suit. Additionally, said suit looks pretty rumpled and wrinkled and he looks pretty disheveled.

I also really like how the comic shows his humanity and his willingness to help and support others, like what you mentioned about him visiting everyone in the hospital even though he really didn't know them. He grieved the people that died and he'd known them for like a day or two max. It's unfortunate that some believe he's some apathetic, cold-hearted asshole when it couldn't be more clear that he's a very passionate and caring person.
