and let me say this. the biggest piece of gm malpractice this offseason was [and this is all inclusive] dallas not getting BG to sign with them.
#do i like how the mercury did things? no not at all#do i think bg would have fit in pretty well with this offense? yes#but do i think their end result of the merc offseason is one of the better products in the league? yes#BG is from texas she went to school there#paige is the closest thing to dt now that she's gone#and bg's vet experience would have been so useful there#and it's not like they didn't have the money. they could have not signed mha and paid dc like 14k less [still at 186k]#obviously there was some persuasion from players to get bg to atlanta and she likes it there and i am happy for her#and i guess it's working out fine with her and bri jones#but i really think paige hoops would be much better for bg than smeskoball#obviously the coaching is the other gm malpractice#there is also like no real deescalator on that team#so maybe not the best fit#but dallas would have more than one win rn on just the paige to bg pnr like that would feed families

Obviously Indiana played well and NY weren't going to stay undefeated forever but you really saw how important Jonquel and Leo are to their offense but especially to their defense

It's very possible Laura's had an issue with that foot/ankle and just got it addressed now. We saw multiple instances of her adjusting her skate on that leg in the playoffs if you're in the arena.

Laura didn't had her boot while taking her SAT exam last weekend. Really wonder what happened since then for her to show up the next week with a boot!! Maybe a silly accident, hopefully, nothing serious 🤞🏼

I think between Winn, Guilday and Gosling it’s about need. Winn is probably the best so I expect she’s the first one to go. Between Guilday and Gosling one is a shut down defender and the other is a better offensive defender, so it depends what you want. I do think Montreal would probably prefer Gosling (assuming Winn is taken) purely because there’s a better chance she will stay long term and she’s a more direct replacement for Barnes than Guilday is.
I think NY picks a forward but then Boston and Toronto I really think whether they select a defender is based upon free agency. Toronto really needs a center and if Boston can’t sign Tapani they do as well.

the last 4 minutes there for dallas is a coaching issue
I don’t know why he even called those time outs. I don’t know why he didn’t challenge. Even if you lose the challenge it shows your players that you believe them.
This guy is supposed to be a defensive minded coach and the team can’t defend.
But a coach can’t always fix execution. The most he can say is stop fouling (though i don’t know if he even said that)

just a complete collapse from dallas in the last 5 minutes. the aces might be bad but they know how to make games they should be blown out in close enough to win
