Rune Charms
Okay so I’m sure this has been discussed before, but if you have a rune set and don’t have the money right now to splash out on some of the gorgeous rune jewellery that’s out there - in addition to using runes for divination and/or magic, you can carry them as little charms (as long as you don’t lose them if you wind up wanting them for divination again…). For example:
Fehu in your wallet for wealth and financial stability
Uruz in your gym bag/ in your pocket when you exercise, for strength and speed
Thurisaz or Algiz for protection - offensive and defensive respectively
Ansuz or Kenaz in your pocket at school/uni - Ansuz particularly as a lucky charm for exams; Kenaz for projects - for illumination and knowledge
Raidho or Ehwaz in your travel stuff/ glove compartment of your car/ again, in your pocket when you journey - for safe travels
Wunjo, Jera or Sowilo as an everyday charm for happiness and/or prosperity, as applicable
Mannaz in your pocket for important situations that involve interaction with others, such as interviews, meetings, or even dates, to make them go smoother
Laguz as a healing charm for visits to the doctor
My understanding of the runes is still pretty limited and I need to do a lot more research, so - thoughts/ comments?

Svefnthorn
I have drew this stave for personal usage and after a few years of using it, I don’t need it anymore. That is to say, I’ve got what I wanted from it. Its magic worked absolutely effectively. When a maker or magician wants to use it for malevolent purposes or not, that is up to him or her. I never use sigils, runes or magical staves to harm anyone. I don’t practice the dark arts, but I cannot deny that I am deeply interested and fascinated by them. The Icelandic Galdrastafir are not for everyone to say the least, but they are very much an open source and easy to work with, when of course used in the proper way. Thank you!
The Svefnthorn
The Svefnthorn (Old Norse svefnþorn, “sleep thorn,” pronounced “SVEFN-thorn”) is a symbol that features in several of the Norse sagas and in folkloric magical formulas recorded long after the Viking Age.
Its visual form, when described or depicted at all, varies considerably from source to source. Unlike most ancient Norse symbols, it doesn’t seem to have had any one definitive shape. There are also significant differences in how one would go about applying the Svefnthorn to someone, as well as the exact effects that the Svefnthorn would bring about once applied.
But the mentions of the Svefnthorn in the literature all have one thing in common: the Svefnthorn was used to put an adversary into a deep sleep from which he or she wouldn’t awaken for a long time. More about the Svefnthorn on the link below: norse-mythology.org/symbols/sv…

what's seidir and how do you start out doing it?
Hey Nonny!
Seiðr (pronounced seeth-ur) is Norse magic that is rooted in astral travel, trancework, astral work, Wyrd (fate), and altered states to gain information, knowledge, and to project your will into manifestation.
The exact practices of Seiðr are lost to time, but we can piece together some idea of what might have been done using a historical understanding of pre-Christian practices in the region.
Seidr Today
We know that dance, drumming, and singing would have been used to reach altered states. Odin himself spoke of frenzied dance and Galdr (singing of magical tunes). Psychoactive herbs would have also been used - and local herbs would have been Bog Bilberry, Crowberry, Labrador Tea, Obligate Fly Agaric, and more. Not all psychoactive herbs necessarily produce extreme symptoms. Technically, even chamomile is psychoactive. Always use herbs with caution and with the input from a licensed medical professional.
My Experience with Seidr
I personally practice Seiðr by journeying into the astral, into different times (energy knows no time or distance), and to speak to different beings/deities on various planes for lessons and information that further my personal and spiritual growth.
I experience these things through meditative states and bilocation. Most people don’t know this but bilocation is probably the most common way of practicing trancework. A great way to start is with having a goal in mind with where you’re going and some basic protections or a Guide to accompany you. You can reach meditative states in a variety of ways. I personally do it by taking mugwort tea or a combination of mugwort and a Sativa cannabis (this isn’t required but I live in a legalized state) and then listening to drumming tracks specifically meant for meditation.
Other methods can include: listening to binaural beats, breathing exercises, and repetitive actions like spinning yarn, crocheting, knitting, etc (Fiber crafts were intimately entwined with magic for the Norse).
Dancing in a frenzied and free manner can also produce an altered state and is a favorite of Odin. Anytime I’ve been moved to dance for Seiðr though it’s been with Odin. 🤔 I’m not sure if the other Gods inspire dance the same way for anyone else. I only experience it with The Old Man.
Spae Work
Another type of Seiðr is called Spae which comes from the ancient root to speak. And this refers specifically to the practice of reaching into the Well of Knowledge or speaking to the Norns and speaking the truths that you learn into existence here.
A subgenre of Spae work is Skaldic work which involves reaching into that same well and speaking truth through story. This was the method by which we were gifted the original oral traditions that inspired the Eddas and the Sagas. The ones we have written down are Christianized fragments, but originally these would have had much less Christian propaganda flavor and were carried into Midgard on the silver tongues of Skalds.
This is getting long so I’ll wrap this up. I could literally talk about my Seiðr practice all day.
Remember with starting Seiðr…
Don’t overthink it! You can write down or record what you feel you’re experiencing as you’re experiencing it, which can help lend weight and value to what you are experiencing. .
Anything and everything you experience is valid, but discernment is important. Pay attention to the individual phenomenon, sensations, thoughts, and pieces of information you’re getting. Trust those are happening and avoid try to force-fit them into a conclusion. Analyze it later, not during so that details aren’t altered or changed subconsciously
Best of luck!
💙 Elisa

simple money spell 💫
so you wanna get a couple extra bucks to get by? boost your chances of getting that call back from that job you want, saying you’re hired? here’s a small jar spell to boost your luck
what you will need:
• jar
• green candle (associated with wealth)
• white candle (purity, use it while you work)
• alfalfa leaf
• rose hips
• lavender
• sesame seeds
• bay leaf
• sharpie
• shiny new penny

what to do:
• light your white candle (mine was vanilla but whatever suits you best, use it)
• write your intention on the bay leaf in your sharpie, I wrote financial gain since im broke as fuck
• layer your ingredients however you want, but I did lavender, sesame seed, alfalfa, rose hip, basil, and penny.
• close that bitch up and seal it with your green wax. I let it drip all around the edge of the jar and then put the candle on top and kept it lit until it all turned into a thick goopy mess on top just because
• while the candle is burning/your wax is dripping, think about some possible ways that money could be coming to you, how thankful you’d be, what you’d use it for, etc. if you use a deity, you can ask for their assistance here, but i personally don’t have one.
• when you’re done with the green candle you can blow it out and blow out the white one, and keep the jar wherever you’ll see it most, or take it with you if its small enough. bonus points if you keep it with some crystals like citrine, green adventurine, pyrite, peridot, etc. I have all of these on my workspace but it isn’t required if you don’t have them

now make some fuckin money 💚💚💚

FJÓLDÖYSTAVE will cause someone to slowly curse themselves as they spread lies.
The curse of the Fjóldöystave will cause the target to experience an increasing sense of “being dead inside”, growing in intensity every time a lie or false rumour is spread by the person.
The staves themselves are to be painted onto a piece of parchment or paper with ink mixed from charcoal and spit. The parchment is then folded up and wrapped in black cloth. Once this is done, the staves are to be hidden inside, or if not possible; simply near the home of your target.
The purpose of this is not to stop the lies from being spread, but rather cause the target to start even more lies and rumours. As this escalates, the lies will also become gradually more and more incredible, to the point where others will start to realise the obvious falseness and cause the web of lies to collapse in on itself, taking the target’s ego and all credibility with it.

A Scots traditional charm for picking yarrow
I will pluck the yarrow fair, That more brave shall be my hand, That more warm shall be my lips, That more swift shall be my foot; May I an island be at sea, May I a rock be on land, That I can afflict any man, No man can afflict me.
–“The Yarrow” from Carmina Gadelica, compiled by Alexander Carmichael, 1900.

🌿Magical herbal salt🎀
Hi!🌹 Today I want to share here one of my magic salt recipes!🔮💜

First at all I took some fresh herbs from my little balcony garden and rock salt.🌱
Salt is a crystalline mineral made of two elements, sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl).Salt magical properties are cleansing, purification, protection.
I used Parsley, Lavender, Basil and Marjoram.
Herbs magical properties are:
Parsley - increase strength, vitality and passion.Parsley is also supposed to protect food from contamination.🌿
Basil - helps steady the mind, brings happiness, love, peace, and money and protects against insanity.🌿
Marjoram - cleansing, purification, and dispelling negativity.🌿
Lavender -love, healing, purification, sleep and beauty.🌿

So that all herbs make my salt more magical and powerful!🌙🔮
I used mortar and pestle to mix that all.🌿After that I added my salt into glass jar and I left in on my altar🔮.

I will add my herbal salt to everything that I cook.

Also I will use it for my protection spells and rituals.🔮

My instagram - crystalia_witch
All pictures are mine.
With love,
Agata🎀
