Life Is Fantastic

So at the end of last year I did a reflection post looking back on 2014, and seeing as I very infrequently use this, even less frequently as a blog I thought I should check in with you all!

So at the end of last year a major topic was my film “career” and since then, well, it’s blown up in an entirely fantastic way!

Since last time I’ve worked on 9 projects, with a 10th,11th,12th and 13th in development and a massive project coming next year (Which as Tumble you will love!) I constantly have new projects rolling in, and I have new people! Joining myself and Liam in the running of the company is Scott, Dhean, and my new film partner and long lost friend Sam! Together I feel the team I have can drive Grumpy Hobo Films forward as a company and we all work together creatively in a positive way with nobodies ego being an issue (As seen before). As well as this team I’m also continuing to work closely with my friend, and colleague Ryan Davies with his Infinite Arts organisation.

In my reflections post I also talked about a project I’m working on called Holmes, the development on that has continued, with scripts done, a technical crew at the ready, and the cast mostly sorted, it’s now at a stage where I only have to pick a starting date, so I’d like to thank the people who put a considerable amount of work into that project, and faced the trials and tribulations of the pre-production hell it went through, due to factors I won’t explore as I’m not out to defame people on Tumblr, there’s a reason myself and my team are moving our careers forward and producing great content whilst they do nothing with theirs.

On a personal note I am also fantastic, currently the pressures of exams are present, but unlike previous years it’s feeling a lot less stressful this time round, and so far I’ve actually enjoyed my exams! (Which is weird, I know). I’ve continued as I began this year with a lot less stress due to problem causing people no longer being an inconvenience in my social life. 

I’m moving to Cardiff in September as well! Moving from my birthplace of the sleepy area of Swansea into the bustling metropolis of Cardiff at first seemed like a daunting prospect, but with a lot of my friends moving up there and the fact I’m on track to be studying Geology in Cardiff University it’s actually an experience I’m eager to begin. 

So just in case you didn't want to read all this, or are still asking questions then I’ll summarise this for you:

I’m doing fantastically professionally, with an expanded and amazing team!

Personally I am doing even better, with great people in my life I can move forward with!

This guy is actually a beautiful human being, coming into a project at a later stage he's shown humility and professionalism, and without trying to control the creative process he's fed his opinions in and consulted with us to get the best show we can, from the script to casting, I look forward and am very excited to work with Scott on set and making Holmes look as great on screen as it does in my mind, and delivering the audience the best possible product.
