If you are a beginner and don’t have an experience, you need a trekking guide and collect maximum information to make your trip memorable and exciting!
How about climbing to the top peak on the land? Want to climb to the peak where you won’t find any obstructions and view the world! For all those adventurous and wish to fill excitement in life, take the risk and climb to the top peak.
Mount Everest so-called Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in China. The name represents to the god whereas in terms of Nepali it’s the” Goddess Of The Sky” and for Tibetan, it’s the “Mother Goddess Of Universe”. Mount Everest is the dream for so many people to reach the top of the peak “Are You One Of Them?”, then you must trek once in your lifetime even it’s extremely out of your traveling or trekking bucket list. One of the best and most adventure trekking experience you will ever do.
Know The History Of The Mighty And Tallest Standing Peak Of The World
youtube
Mount Everest is the tallest mountain peak in the world. Sir George Everest led a British survey team discovered the mighty peak in 1841. The mountain got named after the discoverer in 1865. Professional and passionate mountain hikers and explorers from across the world dream to reach the peak of Mount Everest.
The Most Debated Topic- The Official Height Of The Highest Mountain Peak?
The world’s highest peak in the mighty Himalayas stands tall and lies on the border of Nepal and Tibet. The initial records about the height of the mountain estimated 8, 840 meters but later got revised by an Indian survey in 1955. A Chinese survey in 1975 confirmed the revised data provided by Indian survey and recorded the actual height of Mount Everest as 8, 848 meters.
China used modern techniques and better-positioned GPS locator for getting a more accurate measurement of the mountain in 2005. The Chinese Academy of Sciences and The State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping declared the actual Rock Height of the mountain to be 8, 844.43 meters excluding the 3.5 meters thick snow cape. In 2010, the final agreement declared the official height to be 8, 848 meters which included the snow cape.
What Is The Mount Everest Formation Process?
The formation history of Mount Everest is also exciting! Before you put on your hiking shoes, you must know about the formation history of the world’s tallest mountain! Around 65 million years ago, the Asian tectonic plates collided with Indian tectonic plates. The Indian tectonic plates moved towards the north causing huge ripples in the earth’s crust alongside the boundaries of Asian and Indian plates.
The Indian plates moved towards the north and pushed the ground up. This movement of plates for throughout million years formed the mighty mountain range of the Himalayas along with the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan, Tien Shan Mountains and the Hindu Kush in Northern China.
The Indian plate pushed the edge of the Asian Plate underneath and lifted the land forming Tibetan Plateau which shoved up as a single giant piece! The Indian plate is still moving towards the Eurasian Plate in the north at a speed of 1.7 inches per year. The Eurasian plate being greater sized and a strong tectonic anchor forces the Indian plate underneath.
Explorers Of  The Mount Everest And The Record Makers
Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary are the first explorers to reach the peak of the mountain on May 29th, 1953. The names of these first climbers got officially recorded which made them world famous! The first climbers were the members of a British expedition, and Colonel John Hunt led the team. In 1952, Norgay climbed more than 8000 meters with a Swiss team and before that, he had attempted four times to reach the summit. However, Hillary reached a peak in his first attempt!
The history of Mount Everest includes the unfortunate expedition in 1924 which remains an unresolved mystery! An expedition led by Andrew Irvine and George Mallory initiated their journey on April 28th. Other members in the expedition failed twice to move up, but Irvine and Mallory continued their attempt to reach the peak on June 6th while the other members returned on June 11th. Both the climbers never returned! George Mallory’s frozen and preserved body was found in 1999 at the height of 8, 159 meters while Andrew Irvine’s body was never found.
Apart from the first climbers, there are several other climbers with different records. Reinhold Messner is the first climber to reach the peak without carrying an additional oxygen tank in 1978. He again did it after two years without supplemental oxygen.
Yuichiro Miura, a 70 years old Japanese climber reached the summit in 2003 and did it again after five years. Again in 2013, he climbed the mountain to secure his title after Min Bahadur Sherchan- a Nepali climber beat the record. Miuro secures another record for being the first person to ski down the Everest by descending around 4200 feet.
Apa Sherpa is another record holder mountaineer who becomes the first one to reach the peak 21 times! But as if now Kami Rita Sherpa holding the record by reaching the peak 22times. Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes- a British climber, is the first to reach North and South Poles through the surface.
Which Are The Best Routes To Climb Mount Everest?
There are two routes to climb Mount Everest! One is on the North Side in Tibet and Nepal in the South. In the initial days, the Nepal side remained closed for the foreigners. Tibet opened the way for the world through which the first climbers went on the expedition. However, Nepal opened its ways later! You can either trek through the gateway in Tibet or Nepal. The climbers have 18 different climbing routes to choose.
The Best Season For Trekking Everest
Mount Everest in the mighty Himalayas remains engulfed with snow most of the time in a year. Climbing the mountain in any season is almost impossible for the high winds and sub-zero temperatures. It is safe for the trekkers to climb in May and September to reach the peak as the winds die down in this period. Scheduling to climb the mountain in May and September, the climbers can avoid the summer monsoon rains and harsh winter snows.
          January  February  March  April    May   June  July  August  September  October  November  December °C         -36            -35          -32      -31        -25     -20     -18        -18           -21            -27              -30               -33 °F         -32.8        -31          -25.5    -23.6   -13.1     -4    -0.4   -0.3              -5.7            -16.5          -22             -29.3
Is It Risks To Climbing The Highest Mountain Peak?
The climbers have to struggle through sudden storms, crevasses, avalanches, and strong winds. Climbing in the zone with thin oxygen content and below freezing temperatures is also a huge risk! Though the Mountaineers use bottled oxygen tanks, experiencing nausea, fatigue, vomiting, frostbite, and hypothermia like health issues is common.
You need to prepare your body for the extreme conditions by spending months in the base camp. Physical and psychological preparation is essential to face the extreme conditions likely encountered in the trekking. Many climbers develop psychological and physical problems while returning from the climb. It is not possible for everyone to climb in the ‘Death Zone’ in the elevation over 23000 feet.
Many people around the world dream to climb the Everest apart from the professional mountain trekkers! If you wish to be one of the climbers to reach the summit, you must join a climbing expedition hiring an experienced and professional guide.
You need to plan the journey for three months. Generally, it takes around 19 days to trek to and from the base camp. It takes around 40 days to climb to the peak of the Everest. The extended duration of the trip is for preparing the climbers physically and psychologically to adjust to the high elevation completely.
Spending time at the base camp will help the climbers. Even the climbers have to make a series of climbs to various base camps to familiarize to the changing atmosphere throughout the journey in different heights of the mountain.
Go Through Four Camp To Climbing To The Peak Of The Mount Everest Via The South Col Route In Nepal
Climbing to the peak of Mount Everest requires preparations and training. Many rudimentary camps have been set up in different elevations of the mountain. These camps act as stations and the climbers use these camps for ascents and descents. If you choose to climb via the South Col Route in Nepal, you must have the proper information about the base camps!
• The first base camp is at 17500 feet. This camp seems to be a small village as people from across the world set up tents at the camp. The climbers stay at the camp for several days for preparing their body and reducing the risks at high altitudes. • Khumbu Icefall is 17999 feet high and the most dangerous sections while climbing to the peak. The climbers face large seracs and huge crevasses while crossing through the Khumbu Icefall. It takes around 3-5 hours for fit climbers, but an average climber without acclimatization will take 12 hours to cross the section. • Camp-1 is at the end of Khumbu Icefall and a height of 19685 feet. This area is vast with deep crevasses, endless snow and dangerous ice walls which are prone to avalanches. The snow starts softening at the end of May which makes it difficult for the climbers. The climbers will also face difficulty to climb in extreme heat. Thus, you need to start the journey early of the month! • Camp-2 is set up at 21000 feet in the last rocky outcrop. In this camp, the climbers get the most stunning view being within the clouds. The climbers need to cross Lhotse Wall to reach Camp-3 which is very challenging. Lhotse Wall is a sheet of ice, and the climbers need to cross it carefully using the ropes. • The tents in Camp-3 get carved into the mountain wall at the height of 23625 feet. The climbers need to pass through Yellow Band and Black Turtle which are two rocky sections on the wall. This passage leads to the death zone! • Camp-4 is on a plateau lying between Lhotse and Mount Everest at the height of 26300 feet. It is the death zone which starts at 23000 feet. Many climbers face difficulty due to lack of oxygen. • The climbers have to climb through a small plateau, cross the Knife Ridge, and a Sharp and Steep Ridge from Camp-4 to reach the peak.
Reaching the peak of Mount Everest is certainly a great accomplishment, but it is half of the journey as it is no less challenging to get back down! The trekkers need strength and patience to come back down safely. You will require special trekking equipment which will help for mountain trekking. The risks are high, so every climber needs to do proper planning to avoid accidents and other issues!
