From my place here in Ireland, I am the only hope for my large family trapped in Gaza, but that hope is fading fast without your continued support.

Family is everything to me. I could NEVER imagine life without them. Without my elderly parents, without my sweet nieces and nephews. When I evacuated Gaza, I did so with one mission: to sustain and save my family. They are still enduring unimaginable horrors under constant bombardment, running for their lives from one place to another.

We have reached 89% of our goal thanks to your incredible generosity.

I cannot thank you enough. Your support is literally helping me save lives. You are giving my family a chance at survival, and giving me hope.

Nothing is more excruciating than watching a genocide unfold in your homeland while your loved ones are trapped inside it. If that would not traumatize you, what would?

Due to the extreme prices and exorbitant fees required to purchase necessities in Ghazzah, Amal has run out of funds she can use from her campaign. Rebuilding What Was Erased – A Message from Abedmajed in Gaza

My name is Abedmajed, and I live in Gaza with what remains of my once large and loving family.

In a single missile strike, we lost over 25 members of our family. They were not just names. They were mothers, daughters, sons, grandparents — people we shared meals with, laughed with, and built dreams with.

The missile hit our family home — the heart of everything we knew.

Among those killed were: 🕊️ My mother 🕊️ My sister 🕊️ My older brother His wife and their three daughters 🕊️ My uncle, his wife, and all their sons and grandchildren

We were left with nothing but rubble and grief. Yet somehow, my brother and I survived. And now, we carry the responsibility of rebuilding what was taken — not just for ourselves, but for our father, our surviving siblings, and the memory of those we lost.

I'm Areej I was an English teacher and a creative writer at we are not numbers before war and everything change after October 7. Also I'm a creative writer at we are not numbers.

Dear my kind donors!

I am a mother of three children. We have lived through the war for a year and a half, and we have lost everything we own. My husband is a man who did not work. Before the war, I did not have a breadwinner or any source of income. During the war I didn't give up to teach so I volunteered and had good chance to help some students to get engaged again with English in a very creative way.

We are in tents for almost two years because our home was destroyed and my kids are starving now with no enough food  😭‼️🥺After our several evacuation from place to another.Now we don't have a house after it was destroyed by missiles. I now ask you to help me rebuild my house. And buy basics for the daily essentials for my children and I need money so that we can stand up again and start again.

This war wasn't easy at all it has taken many friends at work, students and some of my colleagues at the university. They are almost ten souls I won't never forget . Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

The crossings boarders are closed again these days and war return in Gaza.  The crossing through which food enters has been closed for more than 30 days. We have nothing to eat, and even if we do, the prices are exorbitant. Some of the prices listed are:

1 kg of meat = $100 now there is no meat

1 chicken = 70$ there is no chicken

1 kg of fish = 100$ now it costs 200$

1 bag of flour = $200 now it costs 600$

1 kg of cooking gas = $150 now it costs 1000$

1 kg of sugar = $50

1 kg of eggplant = $20

1 kg of onions = $50

1 kg of tomatoes = $20

In Gaza ...

In Gaza, hunger has become one of the faces of the siege. Bread is missing, food is scarce, and pain is merciless, young or old. Bodies are exhausted from weakness, eyes overflow with helplessness, and signs of malnutrition have become part of the daily scene.

This is not a war fought with weapons alone, but a hidden battle that is slowly suffocating people.

The silence of the bombing is deceptive, for death here needs no sound; hunger is enough to infiltrate the soul. Unless the world acts, slow death will become the fate of thousands of families who have nothing left but hope.

These civilians did not carry weapons, and they did not go out to fight…

Their only "crime" was going to receive food aid from the area set up by an American organization in Gaza.

They went with the hope of returning to their children with a loaf of bread or a sack of flour…

But they came back with blood, pain, and fear.

They returned carrying trauma instead of food, and tears instead of water.

Forty people killed so far, in a place that was supposed to be a point of salvation… not a point of death.

In Gaza, even waiting in line for aid has become a risk to one’s life.

That’s why I’m here, asking for help — far from the traps of death.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, guys, but I will be alert to a simple thing that happened to me new, when I collected the amount of 500 dollars, which is the price of a bag of flour 7 days ago, and this is what I asked for money to buy a whole bag, but unfortunately, when I went to buy flour, I found that flour traders and the owners of thefts, had hidden the flour, and did not show it at all, what's wrong? What's the problem? No one knows the reason, I went back to my house, although the money is available to me and I can buy it, the effects of sadness on my family and their sadness seemed for what happened to me, my father told me to go to another place tomorrow to buy flour, so I started the next day to look for any bag of flour, and in the end, I found people selling flour, I was happy to see them, and I felt that this time I would not take my family, I went quickly, and I asked the man how much is the price of the bag I need one, so he told me that the price of the bag is 1000 dollars, and here was my shock, he started negotiating with him, I told him Yesterday it was worth 500 dollars،

What happened, why did his price double, he didn't listen to me, and he was a cursed merchant, but I couldn't come back empty this time, I was forced to buy 12 kilos of flour, equivalent to half a bag of flour, and I returned home, this did not execute my family's joy of getting flour, although we did not buy enough of it, but we ate and were full yesterday and here we are eating today too, and all that credit is up to you, but it is not enough tomorrow we will eat for the last time, we need 3 kilos per day, so the quantity I brought will run out tomorrow, and we will return to famine after that, I think if it is not annoying, to continue collecting the amount, enough to buy half another bag, or collect the price of another bag of flour, but I will only ask for a little, 500 dollars to buy half another bag, it will be enough.

My husband, my daughter, my mother-in-law, and my uncle and I lived in a house before it was bombed.

We were happy until the war broke out.

The war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

Here, hell began for us in Gaza. We lost our home and became homeless. My husband had nothing, and I had nothing.

My husband, his family, and I were displaced to the southern Gaza Strip for 15 months. I didn't go with her. Those were months of longing for my mother and brothers who were in northern Gaza.

My brothers Ahmed and Abdullah remained in the northern Gaza Strip. We were displaced several times because I live in Rafah, a border area close to the army.

During our displacement, we left the house and ran down the road to escape the shells and planes. Then came the thunderbolt. The shock was that death was faster than my brothers could escape... Here, here, we lost our loved ones. I lost my brothers, the apple of my eye, Ahmed. Ahmed left no children. And my mother is in pain because they departed to God without saying goodbye, without a kiss on their foreheads, a farewell kiss. After a while, we returned home. The house was severely damaged by demolition and the falling of stones from their places, which sheltered and protected us. Now, nothing protects us except some worn-out candles that do not protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter. Our suffering is great, but with your help, we may reach a better and more dignified life. I appeal to you to help me support myself, my mother, my loved ones, and my family. What you provide makes a difference in our lives as individuals. We live in a world that has forgotten the meaning of humanity and giving. May God bless you all. Please help me help my family. One of the hardest things in life is for Eid to come while we are surrounded by death, hunger, fear, and endless displacement.

Everything around us is bleeding—our homes, our hearts, even the dreams of our children scattered between ruins and refugee camps.

Eid is no longer a celebration…

It has become a witness to our suffering, a reminder of joy that fades behind tents and broken walls.

We’re not asking to celebrate Eid like other children across the Muslim world—

We’re simply asking for what keeps us alive:

A piece of bread to calm a starving child. A drop of water for a body worn down by siege.

Before the war, Mahmoud was an Information Technology student at Gaza University, harboring dreams of building a brighter future for his family. Those dreams were shattered when the university was bombed, classes were suspended, and his home in Khan Yunis was reduced to ruins. Now, Mahmoud and his family live in a makeshift tent in a displacement camp, fighting to survive without water, electricity, or access to food.

The winter cold seeps through every threadbare inch of the tent, and the howling wind drowns out the silence left by everything they’ve lost. With his father sick and his brother in need of medical care, Mahmoud shoulders the burden of his family’s survival alone.
