[Hephaestus?... Of course, how couldn't he be so blind? He could recognize this dark forge in an instant, well, maybe except for the fact he missed it now. Whatever, he's in a rush, he doesn't have time to waste. With his speed, he got everything in place, like it was eeriely untouched and taking Theseus to put him in one place. The god held his hands near the boy, as if fearing he was going to fall apart.]
[Alright, maybe he didn't need to be so demanding in his actions. His speed could probably mess with his son's brain, and he didn't mean to land him harshly in one place, but he'd apologize when they had time. Now, they most definitely didn't.]
I-I'm not that much well-versed in mechanics... Athena may be, much to her handicraft. I mean, while I may have an idea of who to turn you over to, I lack material... Χαμηλό κάθαρμα.
[He was now in thought, eyebrows furrowed as he cursed. He wasn't even sure who he was cursing... Hephaestus or himself? He could tell this was on purpose. This was no mistake, he knew Hephaestus way before humans were useful. (Rephrased, when humans became fire. Hermes just words it like that.)]
Theseus felt nauseas, which was odd sense he didn't have a stomach. Upon further examination, it was just pure pain. Hm, Hephaestus must've forgotten to shut off his pain receptors before leaving to attend a meeting. Why did he even have pain receptors?
His leg joints were locking up again, y'know you'd think someone like Hephaestus wouldn't make a leg with locking joints but whatever. Gods it hurt, Thes could barely walk. And there was no way of knowing when Hephaestus would be back to fix it, he had already been gone for a few days....
"Dad, I never pray to you anymore and when i used to you didn't really answer." Theseus mumbled, hobbling around to get a lighter and some leather scraps to start a small fire. For his sacrifice, he threw in the last of his oil supply. Without that his joints probably would seize up and leave him immobile until Hephaestus returned. That had to be good enough! "But I need help. it hurts to walk, and if my leg seizes up I'll be stuck on the floor until my power source depletes. I-It's like dying. Dad I don't wanna die. Please don't let me die."
[For a minute, there was silence. Until, Hermes appeared right beside the boy, huffing as his winged feet hit the ground and he caught his breath.]
[My, he... had changed. Well, no shit, he was practically a cyborg now, but his fleshly side had changed, too. But of course he would, his children couldn't stay the same forever. Just... Wished he hadn't been a wimp about it.]
[As he looked up at his son, he didn't spare him a word of speech before the god's sentences blurred in worry and panic, his wings puffing up and frantically moving as he spoke.]
Theseus! What in Tartarus happened to you?! Why- What- How do you feel? Wait, no- That's not the questions I should be asking right now! What is wrong?

Of course. What do you want to talk about?
*it was about mid-day so getting a prayer/offering wasn't that weird. The person making it was nervous and when you saw who it was a 6 year old. She was trying to be calm but was still nervous this was her first time doing it. She finished as she gets up you realize it was your child Uye*
@the-young-prankster
(trying to write longer hope it was good)
[Hermes tilted his head at the call. It felt... Small. Not in the way that the prayer was of minimal effort, no, it felt like someone small of age. As he approached the mortal surface and peeked around, a kind smile creeped on his face as he saw her, feeling so happy to see one of his children. Being behind her, he leaned down and suddenly asked full of teasing, giving Uye a small scare.]
Well, who is this little joy that called out to me?

Glad to hear, of course.
You know, I have no idea why we don't catch up like this. It's quite nice.
Hello again brother
@artemis-and-hunters
Ah, Artemis. Such an honour seeing the greatest Archer of Olympus. How can I help you, great sister?

Such a nice name, too. Say, now that I'm here, do you need anything for me to do, or would you just rather talk?

Thank you, always flattered.
Say, what of your great hunts? Have you earned anything victorious, as usual?

I don't suppose, no. But I couldn't think you coming to me just because. You must see my reason, we barely talk as it is.
But I do not discourage it, no, far from it. Always nice seeing you.

No need to hide from me, small one. I suppose you wish something of me, since you called out to me?
[He asked, tilting his head as a habit of feigning a exaggerated curiosity.]

Well, a heist could be really dangerous for your size. Though I can agree with the "scribbles", as you call it.
[Hermes patted her back at his warning of the heist, before asking.]
What would you like to draw? I must warn you, I am not blessed with an artistic hand, so I cannot provide much of an.. Aesthetic look.
*you hear someone running towards you, and you turn to see a small girl, probably about six, dressed simply and barefoot. She has short, scruffy purple hair, and is waving both of her hands at you*
Lord Hermes!! Something happened!!
@little-purple-bee 💜🐝
[He sensed the girl approaching him, and he figured it was but a curious child. But as he heard her speak, it sounded so familiar to him... Was it really-?]
... Buzzed one? Is it really you?
[He leaned down to her height, holding himself up with his caduceus.]

You did well, however. I am proud of you. Gods, you remind me of my first flight— you learned more earlier than me, I crashed into multiple trees at your age. Guess you may be brighter than me.
[He praised, giggling softly at the memory as he pat her back. Well, truthfully, he could solve college-level equations at her age and much more, but his children are higher than him at any given chance. To him, at least.]
Take it easy, try not to move as much, ok?
Lana zooms around—doing flips and crazy tricks in the air while flying, before finally stopping to just float in front of you.
“Uhm…hi dad.” She says quietly. She either feels awkward, or she’s experiencing the consequences of doing all of those crazy tricks.
“Woah I’m dizzy…” she groans, swaying in the air, rubbing her head and eyes. “Annabeth challenged me to stay in the air as long as I can, I’ve been doing this all day.” And it’s obvious with the heavy way Lana’s breathing. The girl honestly looks like she’s gonna collapse.

Well, colour me impressed.
[He chuckled and tilted his head in curiosity, looking up at her with a soft smile. To him, this didn't sound like a particularly good idea. Flying takes a toll on any creature if they continue for long periods of time, and Hermes knew by experience. He used to be almost as young as her, after all.]
I can tell, you look exhausted. I'd ask you to get down, lest you pass out, but I'm willing to see how long you're gonna keep this up. Maybe you'll surpass me when I was your age?

(OOC - ok so idk why but I've been in a writing mood lately (courtesy of my new writing blog) and did this,,,, it's a snippet of young Hermes
Also warning it's REALLY long
Don't tell me it's chopped ok I have no experience 😭)
He didn't know what he was thinking. Hermes was fidgeting with his hands non-stop and pacing around the balcony if he should really do this. Shaking his hands, tapping his feet... He wanted to do this, wanted to prove if he had more power than he thought he had, or else he wouldn't lie to his father about not putting himself in danger...
So why was he so nervous?
It's like he knew jumping from the balcony to see if he could truly fly was stupid. Even the feeling in the snakes' eyes that adorned his golden wand had a certain hold to it.. But seriously, who was Hermes if not reckless? So, with that said, he leaned with his back facing the ledge, putting a hand over his eyes as he dropped down, holding the caduceus tightly as if it would save him.
At first, he was dropping down without looking back. The air was chilling on his back as his wings rattled like crazy, some loose feathers got away, even. And then it happened. His fall was slowly coming to a halt, and soon levitating as the wings on his feet kept his sturdy in the air.
To say he was ecstatic was an understatement. Hermes' face bloomed with a lopsided smile that showed his teeth perfectly, with a few laughters here and there. He started to do some tricks, the most being inspired by the moves he concured as sport when he was left with nothing to do. Backflips, side flip, and a whole other flip— you name it.
Maybe that's why he was slowly slipping, not having noticed he was getting too close to a tree. He got too cocky— Hubris, his mother would warn him. His smile faltered into many painful yelps as his wings lost control and fell on top of the tree and intertwined into the branches, rolling and breaking a branch as he tried to hold on before falling to the ground harshly.
"Oh, by Tartarus' balls.." Hermes hissed out, checking to see if his caduceus endured any scratches before sighing at the bruises he himself had collected. He's pretty sure he got hit in the jaw, too. He sniffed out of instinct, as he felt his eyes begin to water, but he'd rather do this whole thing again than cry.
And then an all-too-familar voice boomed out from above, a hint of concern evident. It was Zeus, his father, the very one he had promised to he wouldn't get himself in danger. "Hermes! Are you alright?"
As the King arrived from the balcony through the clouds, Hermes watched on in wonder and a sort of bitterness, before hastily replying in no time. "Y-Yeah, all good... I've never been better, honestly." He spoke, yet his sniffle proved irony.
To a degree, Hermes wasn't lying. It felt exhilarating, flying around and feeling like he could reach the stratosphere. But his body hurt like Hell, and it would probably hurt more once the adrenaline wears off and the bruises form.
Zeus soon landed and helped his son up, much to his son's discussion and reluctance, holding him incase he couldn't stand as he sternly scolded. "What were you thinking? You could have severely broken something everlasting, and on top of that, you promised me you wouldn't endanger yourself like this-"
"I get it, I get it. 'm sorry, I guess." Hermes cut him off with a pout on his face as he lightly tapped his father's arm, signaling him to let go as he kicked a rock away. Even to that, he winced. Zeus couldn't help but observe his son with a hint of worry as he sighed, looking like on the verge of tears as he genuinely looked disappointed in himself. The king knew Hermes wanted to prove himself badly, to let everybody know he held a certain importance and that he wasn't just this "new god". He was soon becoming a rightful Olympian, and for a reason.
"Hermes, I do not mean my words with illness, I only worry. You are very capable of yourself, that much I am certain. Whatever it is you hoped to achieve, you will soon have the chance, but you cannot rush this. I will be proud of you every step of the way, I can promise you this. More than what you promised me 30 minutes before." Zeus reassured, chuckling softly as he tried to lighten the mood. And it somewhat worked, Hermes tried to stay bothered but he couldn't help and smile ever so embarrassed.
To that, Zeus pat his back and smiled happily at seeing his son recovering slightly. "There is my laughter-bringer! Now, reckless one, I suggest we make your way to the infirmary where Apollo will take care of it."
Hermes couldn't do anything but nod and follow suit, a small giggle escaping him at the thought of Apollo's face seeing him for the third time this week. And it was Wednesday.
His favorite day.

... Yeah, I can't help but agree. And as much as I love seeing you determined, it would be best to get down.
[His smile faltered for a second with concern, raising a hand as a chance for her to take it and land safely.]
I got you, don't worry.
