Re-watching the Dark Crystal Age of Resistance and its really sweet to see how quickly Deet was to recognize and immediately go towards Rian during this scene. Like look how she started running to catch up with him before Hup stopped her 😭❤️

So basically we’re going to see Brea be the leader and take charge and come into adulthood because a lot of the older Gelflings are gone so it’s up to the new generation to step up and make their home world prosper again AND we’re going to get angsty brooding Rian because he’s so distraught over losing Deet to the darkness / going to do whatever it takes to save her??? Which will eventually lead the Resistance back together??? I’m here for this

Imagine Gurjin being a total emotional mess when Kira was born. Poor guy is just so proud of his wife and his newborn daughter that he can't help getting teary-eyed. He'd hold up Kira in a Circle Of Life esque pose and is like "LOOK AT MY DAUGHTER! ISN'T SHE PERFECT?!" and if Instagram was a thing in Thra, he'd be one of those parents that take a million photos of their baby and post them for the world to see.

I’m here for over dad! Gurjin gushing over his daughter.

He probably has a photo of her in his wallet he shows to everyone he meets and he probably also tries to bring her up in every conversation he’s in.
