"You can see it, but you’ll have to deal with being around a lot of humans. After returning from….well….where I had been, I entered a small school that let me learn about surgical procedures if I had agreed to work on patients that they brought in."

She sighs and looks up at him. “What have you been up to?”

"Adopted child" He corrected "My mistake" He said "And yeah, I'm ok with it, I know what it's like to be considered a slum of society, I'm perfectly fine with it, as long as they're fine with me"

He hugged her back "You had your reasoning" He smiled "I'm just glad to see you again" He said "what're you doing here, anyway?" He asked

She looked down, keeping her head low as she walked. "Please remember me, Kendrick. I can’t die here. Not now…", she thought.

"It was a nice thing to do, it was a surprise" He smiled "But no, don't worry, my guard should've been less harsh with you" he opened his arms, motioning a hug, if she was willing to hug him

She looked down, keeping her head low as she walked. "Please remember me, Kendrick. I can’t die here. Not now…", she thought.

The guards led her into the city, and into the palace, where Kendrick was sitting on the throne. He stood up when the guards entered, both guards walked forward, leaving Shadow bu the door, they bowed and saluted, Kendrick saluted back. "What news to you bring?" He said. One of the guards replied "We have found a new person to the island, wandering around the coastline, your grace" 

"New person, hmm, show them to me" He said, the guards parted, showing Shadow standing there. He walked forward "We did not know what you should do with her, she said she knows you, but we think it's a human trick" one of the guards told him. Kendrick saw past it and was angry "You have been dismissed" He said 

"But, your Grace, we may be-"

"You have been dismissed!" He growled, angry, the guard left without a further word. He walked forward toward Shadow "I am so sorry" He said "I really am"

"You are not of Elven kind, if you know the King, he shall pity you, but for now, come with us" He said, standing in front of her, one of the guards walked behind her "Follow me" He said, sheathing his sword, keeping a few paces in front of her, he started walking forward, toward the city

Shadow was running out of supplies to work with at the clinic. Yes, she did have mortal medicines, but they did not work as well as those that were of the supernatural kind. In the city she had no access to these medicines, so off to the Isles she went. 

It had been three days by boat, a sketchy one at that, but she had made it to the coast. The boat docked at a salt eroded, crumbling wooded dock, and left as quickly as it had arrived. Shadow was alone, and moved onward along the coast, searching for any sort of items that could possibly be useful to the clinic.

The High King's guard were on patrol, they were on their scheduled patrol, it wasn't anything special, just a round trip of the island, in portions and then reporting to the king, they were having some idle chit chat, passing the regular guard, who were different, and could be separated by the armours.

These two Guard were patrolling the coastline, and spotted a figure, they drew their swords "Halt, ma'am you are under arrest, on suspicion that you are unseen to anyone before , we will be taking you to the King!" one of them shouted to the figure, proceeding to walk closer to the figure

Kendrick is bi, he has been basically since birth, although he has only had female partners, he hasn't found his mr perfect yet, he's fearful because he's immortal, and he would rather want someone immortal as well.

The waiter came back over to ask for drinks, Kendrick ordered a large white wine, he went back to looking at the menu as the waiter looked over to Ariella

Ariella ordered a red wine and smiled at the waiter politely as he left. She went back to looking at the huge menu, looking for something to eat.

Ariella sat down in the chair he pulled out and smiled. She took the menu and smiled politely at the waitress “this place is beautiful” she said softly
