the fact the NPC who said cackletta and queen bean are sisters got removed from the finished game is absolutely insane to me. it's diabolical. because they left everything else in. the beanbean castle music being cackletta's theme, queen bean having the same laugh as her, cackletta knowing lady lima well enough to impersonate her exactly and knowing the layout of the castle and the security system, and the fact queen bean, peasley and lady lima never insult cackletta directly but are more than happy to insult fawful. it makes me so mad we could've really had it all but now i just sound insane whenever i bring it up

i feel like the mario company has officially lost their way when they reveal two really 'hard hitting' mario franchise games and im more excited for the funny mii game

its amazing how nintendo will ignore the dozen of characters in the RPGs because they're afraid of alienating the most normie mario fans who somehow don't know about M&L or Paper Mario.

I may be stupid, but I just realized Fawful's rotating orb attack he uses in his SS fight is the same as the one he lager uses in his BiS fight. Like I literally *just* realized that.

In regards to the "How did Fawful fund his takeover in BIS" post, I have 4 ideas/theories as to how:

1: Assuming his Bean 'n' Badge service was used in PIT, I assume he took the beans traded in and possibly exchanged them for money somehow

2: He got some money from tricking the toads into eating the shroob mushrooms (maybe he charged them for a heavy price)

3: He either had some money left over from some point prior or he stole some, but it was only enough for the basics (his little platform, the suit upgrade, the 3 fawfulcopter like machines he used to attack Bowser's castle, and possibly hiring Midbus). Anything we see after that point could've possibly been funded with any money or treasure Bowser's castle had

4: He took anything remaining scrap/mechs from after the events of SS/Minion quest and used those to build what he needed for BIS (assuming we're going with the events of the remake and not the original)

I could be wrong with these, but these are my best guesses as to how Fawful got said money for BIS

A: It does make sense he'd use the bare bots he'd need before taking over Bowser's castle, and then make more after now that I think about it. As well as using scrap from his precious endevours.

B: It is EXTREMELY in character and really hilarious to imagine Fawful seeing the alien invasion and taking advantage of it by selling Shroob mushrooms to people, with a non zero chance of him knowing they were dangerous. Like he'd absolutely do that because he's so awful, I hate him <3 (affectionate)

one mystery i never see anyone talk about in the M&L side of the fandom is just how in the hell fawful made all the money he needed to do a full scale takeover in BiS. yeah i know in these kinds of stories you gotta suspend your disbelief, but i have the autism that makes me hyper analyze kid's games.

the last time we see him in a game before BiS is in PiT, where mans is literally living in the sewer like a cryptid; and during an alien apocalypse im pretty sure. we could assume the badge shop he runs is just for startup capital and that there's a time skip between PiT's events and BiS; but mario games never really had continuity like that.

theres also the mention of the 'fawful foundation' by the monty moles (and i think the elite minions) but we never learn what that is exactly i don't think (the bowser jr sidestory could for all i know) but we know this foundation has some kind of pull.

going by his character, i headcanon it was a bit of using mind control to steal some coin, and a lot of rated-E for everyone approved weapon selling.
