Beryllium once again whirred contently when Lucian spoke to it.

"Yes! Of course, every Pokemon is different, and every Metagross is different. But Beryllium has always been fussy about me touching anywhere around its' mouth on its' stomach. It lets me do it if I make my intention clear and don't surprise it, but I've had a few scratches and bites in the past when I was younger."

Lucian gave a respectful bow to Beryllium. "It is a pleasure to meet you. Steven has told me much about you," he said, debating on whether or not to bring out his Alakazam.

"It does?" He made a mental note of that for future, but refrained from petting the metagross for now. It was best to wait until they were on more friendly terms.

Steven sinks back in his seat and relaxes a little.

"Thanks guys. I'll be sure you get extra treats later."

Extends his wings and gently begins to rotate its sharp feathers, creating a fanning effect to help cool down the champion.

Meanwhile, Aerodactyl reaches upward and creates shade over Steven with its massive wings! A little harsh sun could never bother a fossil-type but it is big enough to block out the sun for its master!

"It's no trouble at all! Helping people out like this around the region is part of my job I guess you could say."

If he could avoid admitting he was Champion for now though, great. He briskly took the lead. "Just follow me!"

First helping him with the fossil now offering what sounded like a short cut to Rustboro?

"You..you really don't have to," Not that he was against the offer when it came to finding his way around unfamiliar places he was more then a little directionless to say the least, even with the help of a map. "I mean if..if it's not a bother,"

He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

Raising a Dragon from an egg? Actually, that could be an advantage, especially when it came to bonding with it. There was a high likelyhood the Druddigon would imprint on him that way, and if he kept the egg nearby, it would learn his voice...
