You're right, they probably just never went in that room or looked at that computer for any reason the whole time you were missing, even though it was plugged in and using power when no one they could see was using it. There's probably a good reason they never considered checking your computer for clues about where you might've gone even though that's where you were last. After all, in order to never notice the computer left plugged in the entire time they would've had to avoid going in that room even though that's where you were last seen and surely they wouldn't do that without good reason. What reasons can you think of for that?
