Summary--

With the advancements in society, the world has fallen into a great war resulting in two factions. Of those two factions, one benefitted from the war and live prosperously and the other fell into disarray and lived among ruins and scavenged goods. Those of the thriving faction were raised over the years after the war to believe that the other brought it upon themselves through violence and continues to resist aid.

Our Muses, a highly ranked soldier of the faction (Muse 1) and a scientist (Muse 2) would meet under unfavorable conditions and find they are stuck with each other. After word that the lowly faction planned an assassination attempt on the scientist (Muse 2) with knowledge from an inside source, the solider (Muse 1) was sent to move the scientist to a more secure location. When (Muse 1) arrives, they learn that (Muse 2) had been working on a project that could turn the tides of any war or rebellion, all without the knowledge that it would be used for a weapon.

After being forced out of the scientist's home by aggressors from the other faction before they are able to secure the move, the intruders leak some information that makes both the scientist and the solider start to question their faction and the lies it has been telling.

Full Prompt--

The Submar territories are a prosperous faction known to its people for its hard-earned victory in the war of resources. This war took place 100 years ago. As the world continued to advance its technologies, life thrived on the planet. This did not come without a cost. All across the world resources became more and more scarce with the increase of the population. War broke out among many of the countries, reeking complete chaos over the world, and even more damage to some parts of it as well. As a last-ditch effort to survive, parts of the world banded together into two factors, the submar, and the nada.

It became readily apparent that the submar had recruited some of the world's powerhouses into its faction, including the very technology that had doomed the world in the first place. With no hope left, some of the nada backed down and began to hide among the more scarce parts of the world, and others took to anger and killed the senators of bordering territories. This anger rallied the more skeptical participants of submar, and the remaining nada were imprisoned for their crimes.

To this day, 100 years later in the year 3111, the people of submar celebrate their victory in the war on its anniversary and blindly follow the tales of their elders and leader. These tales had always framed the nada as power-hungry savages that intended on leaving the people of submar to die without a drop of water left to their names. People still mourn the senators killed that day and celebrate their sacrifice to the end of the world. All those who told of the true story of submar were silenced permanently and framed as a nada traitor, leaving its secret to the grave.

No one would know about the ways the territories of pre-submar poisoned the earth with careless advancements, nor how they hoarded supplies long before the war had begun. The true beginnings of the war were lost to time. No one would bite the hand that feeds them, no matter how corrupt it was.

The technical advancements of submar would only excel as the success of the war brought them more precious materials from what was previously nada claimed land. The leaders and senators were hungry for new visionaries and scientists to expand the capabilities of the faction. So, they started recruiting young children who excelled in the sciences to shadow the scientists of the time. The parents were heavily compensated for having such gifted children and were often ensured that it was an honor for them to serve their faction by allowing their child to contribute.

This is exactly what happened to (Muse 2). Her family was once in the more underdeveloped parts of submar that were considered to be mining territories. When news grew that their child had started to excel in school and was quite the inventor, the family was invited to the intercity of New Atlangon to participate in the national SGCOS (scientifically gifted children of submar) convention for a chance at a new life. At the age of 11, (Muse 2) was accepted into the program, and her family was moved to a neighboring city among the other honored families. (Muse 2) soon became a shadow under the scientists who focused on the investigations of agricultural advancement and resource maximization, but her mind would be focused on other forms of advancement.

After the success of her early years in the program, the high council of submar would start to see the potential that (Muse 2) had and would assign her to a private living quarter in the outskirts of New Atlangon. The reason stated for her move: for the maximization of progress and protection from the growing nada rebellion. But in reality, the growing nada rebellion had begun to taint the people of submar with the truth. One that submar tried to hide for so many years. This prompted the secretive speculation of a war starting once more and the suspicions of spies at every corner.

Submar needed a new weapon to end the nada once and for all and to establish power back over their people. In order to do so, they needed all of their scientists far from corruption. No, they were not prompted about the mission behind their seclusion but the scientists of submar were pressed to submit progress reports every week with the hopes that one would strike gold.

And it did. (Muse 2) would note some progress made on a secret side project, one that caught the eye of the council. It would be quick after that the suspicions of nada spies within the higher council would be confirmed that the rebellion would have its eyes set on stopping this project at its source. The location and brief details of the project were out and a quick transport was needed, entrusted only to the leader's most trusted soldier, (Muse 1). "The fate of the submar faction rested on this mission", (Muse 1) would be told.

(Open) Times Past and Mysteries Long Forgotten

Summary--

(Muse 1) would live in a home belonging to their family (multi-parent household, or single) but, after their mysterious passing, they are all that is left of the old place. In recent years, the home had been remodeled and converted to a library-coffee shop to sustain the financial needs to keep the house.

(Muse 2) Happens to find themselves in the shop when authorities 'of the city' show up. Something is hidden in the family's past, unknown to (Muse 1), that has strange authorities looking for answers. When they don't get the answers they want, the strange authorities attempt to take (Muse 1) for questioning, and they want no witnesses.

Themes: Action, mystery, (optional) romance, light fantasy

Full Prompt--

Time has continued to move on since their passing, and in the dust and collections of rubble that it left sprouted a new start for (muse 1). What used to be the family home was now in the care of (muse 1) and, after some minor remodeling and years to seal the wounds, what used to be had a new beginning.

The shop had been running for three years now, sustaining itself as a functional business that was loved by the locals and visitors of the city due to its unique collections and great refreshments. The large gray house stood out from the other high-rises up the hill and the houses it sat amongst. The peeked roof peered out over the sidewalk, draping a wooden sign garnished with the shop's title from its black trim.

Within, the shop held the strong smells of the old books and bound leather that sat among the shelves that lined the walls. An open walkway greeted any visitor after entering to the chime of a bronze bell. Little sections of seating sat closely against the bookless pillars, all being antique-looking mismatches of tables and chairs. Across from the entrance stood a wooden counter decorated with various tools of coffee craft and a little display case of cafe goods. Finally, to the right of the customer entrance was a maze of books and nesting areas filled with armchairs and bean bags. At the back was a thin-wire spiral staircase that climbed to the ceiling and to a locked cellar door. The house was wide, but due to its close proximity to the other houses all around it, it lent most of its size to height.

Above the shop area was (muse 1)'s apartment, with much of what used to make of the original walls and layout kept intact as the rooms were converted into the necessities: a full bathroom, kitchenette, study, and bedroom.

It would be like any other day, waking up only to attend to the shop. Familiar faces would pass with the movement of the sun over the sky, and some new ones would appear through the heavy glass panned doors as well. Even as it continued to flow as normal, the weight of an 'odd feeling' hung heavy in the air. After a stranger, (muse 2) appears to scope out the cool location on Stark street, 'any other day' quickly took a turn.

Authorities under the guise of the city's police come into the shop, at first acting as if they were just visitors asking harmless questions. But as the questions became stranger and stranger, (muse 1) and by association, (muse 2) would find themselves running from people who seemed to believe that secrets are passed through blood, and they want answers.

~Roleplay Experience~

As an introduction to my style of roleplay, I've made this cheat sheet! (Note: I am open to learning other styles and adapting to partners, but this is the way I am used to and enjoy)

Style: literate/ short novella

Perspective: third person

Descriptive level: very descriptive in the scene staging processes, fairly descriptive of character emotions, body language, and general presenting details. In conversation or quick response, description is as needed, but to a lesser degree.

Characters/play-bys: Only OC's, multi-muse

Verses: Any, multiverse account

Genres: action, mystery, light horror, fantasy (low and high), sci-fi (low), slice of life, romance

This is a semi-selective account. Most roleplay starters will require applications and some will be limited to one muse at a time while others are more 'open' roleplays.

My name is Willow

I'm 23 years old and a recent graduate with two Bs (bachelor of science) degrees! Neither of them has to do with writing, but that has been something I've been doing creatively since I was young, along with art.

I started roleplaying when I was 11, and to be honest, I sucked back then. My writing has improved a lot over the years and it serves as a form of meditation to me (similar to what I imagine reading a book is like to others). There's just something about collaboratively writing a story with someone else that make's my heart ignite with inspiration.

Some hobbies I enjoyed outside of writing include reviving dead plants or saving them from grocery stores, drawing, painting, hiking, and most water activities.

I look forward to meeting and connecting with many people here!
