Keep your messaging simple:
“Trump fired everyone in charge of airplane safety, and a week later planes started crashing into each other.”
That’s it. That’s the messaging. Don’t get bogged down disputing Trump’s false claims. Just blame him, in short and repeatable sentences.

Hey remember that episode of Spongebob where Sandy sings about being homesick for Texas and Spongebob and Patrick overhear it and are worried that she’s going to leave Bikini Bottom so they have a Texas party at the Krusty Krab with all their friends, recreating things in Sandy’s song but they fuck it up like, pecan pie is just a can of peas shoved in a pie, barbeque is barbed wire in the shape of a Q, and the ten gallon hats are just plastic water jugs on their heads, and like…. Sandy just laughs so hard she breaks into tears, cause she sees what they’re trying to do for her to make her feel at home because they love her and don’t want her to leave…………… yo do you ever think about that goddamn episode

It’s uncanny how similar Trump is acting like Hitler. People are now doing the Nazi salute. They’re drawing the symbol. The KKK was seen in Kentucky asking people to join them. ICE has been ripping families apart. Companies have pulled back Diversity Initiatives. We’re no longer part of WHO and there won’t be any communication from the CDC at least until February 1st. We’re being censored and the news can’t be trusted. Thousands of Americans didn’t know there were protests against Trump yesterday outside the U.S. Quotes from The Handmaid’s Tale and Anne Frank have been compared to what’s going on right now.
According to The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Studies and Prevention the U.S. has officially been given a red flag alert for Genocide.
I’m exhausted but I will never stop being angry.

the euphemistic nonsensical phrasing of transphobia constantly gets me. like I know it's just bad faith bullshit, but just the implication of an EMT needing to do karyotype testing before treating someone is so absurd it feels like the premise of an over the top satirical comedy sketch about transphobia

I don’t know if this will end up reaching to the right people, and I hope it does, and I don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet. But ICE raids are happening in Bakersfield, California. Immigrations and Customs Enforcements.
For all my Californians out there, and especially those out in Bakersfield right now, and immigrants especially living in CA. Please know your rights, and have a lawyer contact.

The House has just passed the Laken Riley Act, it’s the middle of the night for me right now.

If you're going to a protest, wear a mask, not makeup. Makeup designed to confuse AI can still get you recognized by law enforcement, and Juggalo makeup won't be helpful as Juggalo's are recognized as a gang by the FBI. Stay safe. Wear full face masks, hide piercings and tattoos or any other distinguishing features.
Please reblog so this can reach more people.

One of the first things that people ask when it comes to the rise of the Nazis to power is "why did the Germans vote for Hitler?". The response is always discussing the difficult economic situation of Germany at the time, the tension between people following the First World War, and Hitler's manipulation. Looking back on Hitler's campaign we can discern that he did in fact play on people's emotions, but other than that his speeches weren't particularly good. We can see the clear hints of the more harmful ideologies, until that's all that they become. We can sit here and judge the people of 1936 Germany and wonder why they would choose Hitler to solve their problems. Americans today are faced with the same issue as post-WWI Germans. The promises made by politicians are so appealing that people choose to ignore what it really means. The mass deportation of immigrants promised by Trump can be clearly linked back to Hitler's attempts to get rid of Jews. Both passionately blamed minorities for the problems of the common people. Hitler sowed hate amongst individuals, gave the masses someone to blame, blew things massively out of proportion so that he could then justify the horrible acts that he planned to enact on these minorities. Trump is clearly going down the same path. Elon Musk, chosen by Trump himself, given a position in government made just for him, did a Nazi salute in front of a crowd of people and faced only increased support from his followers. The MAGA agenda makes excuses for billionaires who actively harm them. They are seeing how much they can get away with before they lose these people, because despite working against the people that same group gave them the power to do so.
Your enemy isn't the woman trying to get an abortion. Your enemy isn't the gay couple you saw on the street. Your enemy isn't the immigrant, the black person, the trans person, isn't anyone that the right-wing is telling you is.
Your enemies are the politicians, the billionaires, the people who will come for you once they're done with everyone else.
Revolt, protest, take matters into your own hands because the people who tried saving you have had their rights taken away already and can no longer risk it.

Also btw trump recognizing only "the two biological sexes" harms intersex people too. I am a researcher of sex and it's affects on disease, and sex is far more complicated than "two sexes" and it always will be. Sex is multifaceted and there are far more than two binary sexes. Keep that in mind too. Don't fall into bioessentialism as you fight for trans people and intersex people.

Can’t reblog the post going round containing these two screenshots:

So I’ll put my addition here:
This also applies to women who complain about feminism requiring them to work, rather than being ‘ladies of leisure’. Women equivalent to them in the past always worked - who do they think were the maids, housekeepers, cooks, nannies, wet nurses, governesses, washerwomen, spinners, weavers, seamstresses, nurses, midwives, etc - and today’s equivalent of the past’s ladies of leisure can afford to be ladies of leisure now. Feminism fought for women’s work to be acknowledged, valued, and fairly paid, and that fight is still ongoing.

Do women drunk on the trad wife fantasy know that women have been working in factories since the 1800s?
Like, why do you always assume you’re going to be middle to upper class living in the suburbs being a full time homemaker?
You’re more likely to be living in a multigenerational household while also doing some work on the side while raising your kids. Your money will go straight to your husband and he gets to decide what happens to it.
