Someone said "Are you really so stupid to think that Africa has the same technological advances as us? If they did they would probably have clean water and not live in houses made of sticks and mud. Get over yourself and stop being so ignorant."..... Below is a tiny collection of images of the Africa they refuse to show you..

I’m sorry you’ve been made to believe that the whole of Africa is poor, I really am..

You can tell Lie To Me was supposed to be their second single. I love YoungBlood. The success it’s had is amazing.
But oof, Lie To Me. This is the song that they really believed in. Youngblood is amazing and is worthy of all it’s success.
But there’s something raw to Lie To Me, something vulnerable. Like they knew they were being more open in this album. They were really kind of trying to work through pain.
And I think this is part of the Youngblood Era success. While they don’t go into a lot of specific details in their songs, there’s enough to let a listener know, this isn’t just imagined, this isn’t just a cool concept. This is real pain.
I think it’s okay that we don’t get a lot of details, I’m speaking of which in a more literature sense. Sonically, the era is amazing. Lyrically, it’s a tad more vulnerable.
But Lie To Me is that song, in my opinion, a lot sadder and heartfelt than Ghost of You. Lie To Me basically says I’m helpless, and I know things are changing, but I’d rather have a lie than the truth. I’d rather this pain of the past than the fear of the unknown.
They put a lot of love and faith into Lie To Me and I hope they see how much we see it.

i dont believe the whole ‘girls mature faster than boys’ thing because girls are literally sexualized from infancy and forced to act Adult about things from a ridiculously young age while boys are taught that they can act like tantrum throwing little shits forever

lie to me music video theory
To me this video seems very metaphoric, specifically about Luke’s rather disastrous relationship with Arzaylea. I have a theory.
So to start off I want to look at what Ashton said about the music video

The boys are all very close, they are all like brothers. They’ve said that many times and they all wear brotherhood necklaces. It’s easy to surmise that watching a person closest to you (Luke) in a toxic situation (the complicated messed up larzaylea relationship) where he takes an emotional beating over and over. But he stays with her because he loves her, or he thinks he does. And the boys watched him het treated badly over and over and there was nothing they could do. They mirror this in the video:
Luke sits by himself in/on the car
Which has a ‘96’ on the side
For those who don’t know Luke was born in 1996. So I think the car in a way symbolizes Luke himself during his relationship with arzaylea. And the cars themselves could also be a reference to the rumour (I say rumour cause idk how fully true it is) that arzaylea took Luke’s car to cheat on him.
The other 3 boys are sitting or walking alone around the stands. And towards the end of the video they all see the other cars driving towards Luke/ Luke’s car
But they can get only sit there and watch as Luke is destroyed in the video, which mirrors real life. They could only stand by and watch as his toxic relationship destroyed him.
And as you can see the ‘96’ is now mirrored or backwards. I think this is symbolism for him reflecting back on the situation, how much he has grown and changed since then. That this situation is only a reflection of his old self and who he used to be, and how that person was destroyed, but that’s not who he is anymore.
The boys also come together farther into the music video, as the crash is beginning
I think this is supposed to represent them working on Youngblood (the album). As a band they got together again and made music. This is during the accident because they began writing for Youngblood before the end of larzaylea. But it shows them banning together over the wreckage.
Anyways this is simply my opinion. Let me know if you have any ideas / theories ❤️🖤
